Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan partnered with D&D Electric to launch the Jordan commuter e-bike range in December 2023. Launch coverage described step-over and lowered-top-tube versions, a 250 W rear hub motor and a removable 460 Wh battery. The published 40–60-mile range is an estimate, not an independently verified test result; the launch price was £2,995.
What is the Jordan e-bike?
The Jordan is a commuter e-bike range developed with D&D Electric and associated with Eddie Jordan, the former racing driver and F1 team owner. New Atlas reported the launch on December 8, 2023, describing two frame options: a conventional step-over and a lowered-top-tube design. Its launch account presented the bikes as aluminum-frame commuters with a removable downtube battery and integrated display. Motor, battery and claimed range
- Motor: New Atlas reported a 250 W rear hub motor and 45 Nm of torque; D&D Electric’s product page also lists 250 W and 45 Nm.
- Assist: The launch report says pedal assistance is provided up to 25 km/h.
- Battery: The removable battery is rated at 460 Wh in both the launch account and the vendor listing.
- Range: Launch and vendor materials give an estimated 40–60 miles (about 64–96.5 km). That is a stated estimate, not a range independently measured under controlled conditions, and real-world distance depends on factors such as terrain, rider load, assist use and weather.
The launch report and the vendor’s product page do not give a single consistent component specification. New Atlas lists Shimano 8-speed gearing and mechanical disc brakes; D&D Electric’s page lists a 10-speed groupset and hydraulic brakes. Those component details should be treated as source-specific descriptions rather than combined into one definitive specification. The vendor page also lists a 24 kg weight, while the launch account describes the bike at about 24 kg. D&D Electric’s Jordan product listing is the source for its own product-page details.
Equipment and frame choice
New Atlas’s 2023 launch description includes 700 × 45c tires, LED lighting, fenders and a kickstand, alongside the commuter-oriented display and removable battery. The range’s step-over and lowered-top-tube frames offer different access styles; the source material does not establish that every component or accessory is identical across both versions or current listings.

Launch price and current availability
The launch price reported in December 2023 was £2,995. D&D Electric’s product page also lists £2,995, but its indexed page may not reflect live stock, checkout availability, current model-year naming or delivery terms. Check the vendor directly for present price, stock and UK delivery before making a purchase decision. No verified Amazon listing for the Jordan model was available for this article.
Who receives money from Jordan e-bike sales?
D&D Electric says on its product page that the Amber Foundation receives a 12.5% royalty for each Eddie Jordan e-bike sold through D&D Electric. This is the company’s stated arrangement for sales through that channel; it should not be assumed to apply to sales made elsewhere.
