Eclipse led Ever’s $31 million Series A, announced February 12, 2026, as the company seeks to grow its EV-first vehicle retail business. Ever said the round brought its total funding to approximately $100 million across equity and debt facilities. It operates as a retailer—not just a software provider—and says customers can buy or sell through online, in-person, or combined journeys.
Who invested, and what will Ever do with the funding?
Ever announced the oversubscribed Series A on February 12, 2026. Eclipse led the round; Ever named Lifeline Ventures, Ibex Investors, Maki VC, Joint Effects, and JIMCO among the participants. JIMCO also announced its investment. Ever’s funding announcement and JIMCO’s announcement provide the investor details.
Ever said it would use the new capital to expand engineering and operational capabilities and support nationwide growth. Eclipse partner Jiten Behl joined Ever’s board, while Eclipse partner and Head of Growth Joe Fath joined as a board observer, according to Ever.
How does Ever’s EV retail model work?
Ever describes itself as an AI-native, full-stack auto retailer that starts with electric vehicles. That makes its business more than a marketplace or software vendor: the company says it operates across the retail process, with customers able to transact online, in person, or through a mix of both.

Ever says its proprietary operating system coordinates workflows including vehicle sourcing, pricing, merchandising, sales, and vehicle operations. The company’s stated aim is to connect these functions in one retail operation. That description explains its approach; it does not establish that the system performs better than competing retailers’ systems.
At the time of the funding announcement, Ever said it had live operations in San Francisco and customers across 40 states. The 40-state figure is the company’s reported reach at that time, not an independently verified current count. What do the market and productivity claims show?
Ever cited a $1.2 trillion U.S. auto-retail market in its funding announcement. That is the company’s estimate; an independent primary market study supporting the figure was not established in the available coverage. The size of the market alone does not show how much of it Ever can serve or capture.
TechCrunch reported CEO Lasse-Mathias Nyberg’s claim that Ever’s approach can produce two to three times the sales-team productivity. This is an executive claim, not an independently audited performance result. No audited operating data or customer-satisfaction survey was established alongside the announcement. TechCrunch’s February 12, 2026 report also described mixed anecdotal comments in a Reddit discussion: some users praised simplified EV shopping, while others complained about reaching the company. A single thread is not representative customer research.

What does the funding mean for someone buying or selling a used EV?
Ever’s funding is a company-growth announcement, not a new consumer program or a guarantee of inventory, pricing, service quality, or availability in a particular location. For a shopper asking, “How do I buy or sell a used EV?”, the practical starting point is to check Ever’s current inventory, service area, and contact options directly. The announcement establishes that Ever intends to expand, but not what vehicles are available to an individual shopper today.
Ever’s planned investment in engineering and operations may help it develop its integrated retail model. Whether that results in a better buying or selling experience will depend on execution and evidence from customers and operating results, which the funding announcement does not provide.
