Its unusual format and claimed hill-climbing and towing capability come with important trade-offs: substantial weight, model-specific pricing, and an owner manual that restricts use to off-road riding.
What is a DTV Shredder?
DTV stands for “Dual Tracked Vehicle,” according to DTV Motor Corporation. The company says Ryan Fairhead originated the Shredder concept, combining board-sport movement with motorized tracks. The electric 350E has two motors, articulated track suspension, reverse, zero-turn maneuvering, and an app for adjusting performance settings, according to its product page. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent test findings.
Unlike a conventional wheeled off-road vehicle, the Shredder is ridden standing on a deck, with the rider holding handlebars. Its two tracks are central to its design and to its limits: the owner manual says they are intended for off-road use and warns that paved surfaces can adversely affect handling and control.

Weight matters when planning transport or moving the machine: do not treat the 250 lb figure as ready-to-ride weight. DTV’s FAQ distinguishes 250 lb without batteries from 350 lb with batteries. Confirm the weight of the exact unit and its battery configuration before arranging a carrier or loading setup.
Price also needs a model-specific check. The 350E product page lists $8,999, while the FAQ says the Electric Shredder starts at $5,999. Those figures do not match, and the broader starting-price statement does not establish the price of a particular 350E. Check current pricing and availability with DTV or a dealer.

How capable is it off-road?
Speed, runtime, and terrain
DTV lists a top speed of up to 30 mph and runtime of up to two hours for the 350E. The product page does not describe the conditions behind either figure, so they should not be read as guaranteed results for a particular rider, route, terrain, or riding style. An authorized dealer describes the Electric Shredder for sand, snow, mud, and dirt; that is dealer-provided context, not a guarantee that every surface or condition is suitable.
Hills and towing
DTV’s FAQ claims the Shredder can handle inclines up to 25° and tow up to 500 lb. The FAQ does not state test conditions for these figures. DTV advises riders to get comfortable on flat ground before trying slopes. Treat the incline and towing numbers as manufacturer claims, not independently verified limits or a substitute for assessing terrain, load, traction, and your skill.

Can you ride a DTV Shredder on pavement?
No. The owner manual says not to ride on public roads or highways and advises avoiding paved surfaces. It states: “DTV Tracks are designed for off-road use only, paved surfaces adversely affect handling and control.” If crossing a paved surface is unavoidable, the manual says to go slowly. It also says to adjust speed to terrain, visibility, conditions, skill, and experience; it prohibits passengers and stunts.
What gear and riding practices does the manual require?
The owner manual calls for a helmet meeting or exceeding established safety standards. It identifies a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) label for approved helmets in the USA and Canada. Verify fit and the certification applicable where you ride; a product description alone is not proof of compliance.

The manual also calls for eye and hearing protection, gloves, long sleeves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and elbow, shin, and knee pads. While riding, keep both hands on the handlebars and both feet on the deck. Follow the manual’s operating and safety instructions for the particular vehicle.
