Why the Amflow PL costs so much
The Avinox M1 motor is the central selling point
Amflow quotes 105 N·m of maximum continuous torque and up to 120 N·m in Boost mode. The system offers five assist modes. Amflow describes the PL as delivering “105 N·m of max continuous torque in an ultra-light build weighing 19.2 kg.”
#1 Best Overall
- - Unlock the potential of your DJI Amflow eMTB! - Increase the assist cutoff speed by 50%, brining it to around 30mph. It will go as fast as you can peddle. - Made from highly magnetic 443 stainless steel, will work properly with stock sensor. - NOTE: Sensor will cause bike computer readings to be inaccurate.
The US release notes for device version v00.12.05.07, dated July 11, 2025, state that the US version complies with US Class 3 standards. That regional compliance statement applies to the specified device version; firmware and regulatory details may change.
Low weight requires expensive materials and parts
The official product information lists a complete-bike weight of 19.2 kg and a carbon frame weight of 2.27 kg. Those figures help explain the premium positioning: Amflow is combining a high-torque motor and an 800 Wh battery with a notably light carbon chassis. The figures are manufacturer specifications, not an independent weigh-in, and final weight can vary with frame size, pedals and accessories.

PL Carbon versus PL Carbon Pro
The two bikes share the Avinox M1 drive concept and 800 Wh battery in the current 2026 listings. The substantial price gap is therefore mainly paying for the component specification rather than a different motor platform.

The standard PL Carbon uses FOX Performance suspension. The Pro upgrades to FOX Factory suspension, which is the higher-tier finish and adjustment package in FOX’s range. The Pro listing also specifies upgraded wheel and component equipment, although the shop page should be consulted for the exact size-specific parts.

Transmission and brakes
The Carbon is specified with SRAM Eagle 70 Transmission and Magura MT5 brakes. The Pro receives SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission and Magura MT7 Pro brakes. These upgrades matter most to riders who regularly ride steep, technical terrain, demand stronger braking heat management, or want higher-end shifting hardware from the outset.
Which build makes sense?
- Choose the PL Carbon if you want the Avinox platform and light carbon chassis at the lower entry price, and you are comfortable with Performance-level suspension and the listed Eagle 70/MT5 package.
- Choose the PL Carbon Pro if you would otherwise replace suspension, drivetrain and brakes with higher-end parts. Its value depends on how much you would use those upgrades; the motor and battery concept are shared.
- Check your frame size before deciding. A sale price is useful only if the required size is actually available.
Is the Avinox motor worth the price?
On specifications alone, the Avinox M1 is compelling: 105 N·m continuous torque, 120 N·m Boost torque, five assist modes and an 800 Wh battery in a bike Amflow rates at 19.2 kg. That combination targets riders who want strong climbing assistance without accepting the weight typical of many full-power eMTBs.

- Immersive Motion Control - The DJI RC Motion 2 Controller is intuitive and dynamic. Just tilt your wrist and use the joystick to navigate and maneuver through the sky in a unique and connected way.
- Lightweight and Portable- DJI Goggles 2 is easy to pack and take anywhere. The replaceable foam padding fits snug to your face to prevent light leakage while avoiding uncomfortable pressure.
- Breathtaking Sights- Two Micro-OLED screens display vibrant, true-to-life colors. An independent video processing chip boosts smoothness and resolution, resulting in brilliant clarity.
- Ditch the Glasses- Goggles 2 allows you to adjust the diopters from +2.0 to -8.0. Lock the adjustment wheel to keep your custom presets for the next flight.
- Fun for Flight and Flicks- Connect to wi-fi to stream movies straight to your Goggles. Synchronized audio immerses you into a full cinema experience at home.
Whether it is worth $6,300—or roughly $10,199 for the Pro listing—depends on priorities. The premium is easier to justify if low weight, high torque and the carbon frame are your main requirements. If component-level performance matters more than weight, a less expensive eMTB with a heavier, established motor system may offer better value. There is no independent ride test in the available evidence, so real-world noise, range, thermal behavior, handling and long-term durability should not be inferred from the quoted specifications alone.

Suspension setup is part of ownership
The official quick-start guide shows the rear-shock setup being performed with a pump attached to the shock valve. It provides recommended pressures for rider weights from 50 kg through 120 kg.
Best Value
- Custom-made for 2nd-gen AVINOX motors (M2S, M2), fully compatible with new Amflow, Teewing and other e-bike frames.
- Only compatible with DJI Avinox M2S and M2 motors
- Draws power directly from the e-bike internal battery, no extra power supply required.
- Activates the motor automatic shifting function once powered, delivering smoother, intelligent gear changes
- 78cm cable length (30.71inch), fits the routing layout of DJI Amflow e-bike frame,Installation procedure is identical to the 1st-gen cable; refer to the tutorial video for setup guide.
- Obtain a mountain-bike suspension shock pump with the correct valve connection.
- Attach the pump to the rear-shock valve without forcing the fitting.
- Use the guide’s pressure table for your rider-weight range (50–120 kg) as the starting point.
- Set pressure, remove the pump, and check sag and rebound according to the bike and shock instructions.
- Recheck the setting after initial rides, temperature changes or a change in riding kit and carried equipment.
The guide’s table is the authoritative starting point; do not substitute a generic tire-pump pressure or assume the same setting works for every rider. Buyers should also confirm the current US warranty, returns and dealer-support terms directly with Amflow, because those terms were not established here.
What to verify before ordering
- Confirm that your required frame size is in stock; availability has varied by size.
- Confirm whether the displayed price is a temporary sale, a reference price or the current checkout total.
- Check the exact component list for your size and model year, especially wheels and cockpit parts.
- Verify firmware and US Class 3 compliance information for the supplied bike.
- Budget for a shock pump and normal setup tools.
- Read the current US warranty, return, shipping and service terms before payment.
The Bottom Line
The Amflow PL is genuinely orderable in the US, but it is priced as a lightweight, high-spec eMTB: $6,300 on sale for the 2026 PL Carbon listing and $10,199 as the Pro listing’s reference price. The Avinox M1, 19.2 kg claimed complete-bike weight and 2.27 kg carbon frame are the main reasons to consider it; the Pro’s extra cost is principally for upgraded suspension, drivetrain and brakes.
