The Discover 3D is a compact teardrop-style camper project by Lemki Robotix and iScale3D, built around a 3D-printed shell on a single-axle trailer. Reports describe a bed and rear galley, with three-person capacity claimed—but a snug interior that may suit two more comfortably. Its published dimensions and weights do not agree across reports, and current sales or rental availability has not been confirmed.
What the Discover 3D is
Rather than a fully printed vehicle, the Discover 3D combines a conventional single-axle trailer with a 3D-printed camper shell. New Atlas reports that the shell is made using fused granulate fabrication (FGF): thermoplastic pellets are melted and extruded in successive layers. The project is developed by Lemki Robotix and iScale3D. New Atlas’s November 2024 report describes the trailer and printing approach.
A 2025 interview with Lemki Robotix in 3Dnatives says the body uses recycled polypropylene associated by the company with about 7,400 plastic bottles and is reinforced with 30% glass fibers. The doors are described as recycled polyurethane. Those figures are manufacturer statements reported in the interview; they are not an independent materials audit or life-cycle assessment.
Inside: sleeping space, storage and a rear galley
New Atlas describes a main bed, shelving and limited storage. At the rear, a flip-up galley includes a small two-burner propane stove and a sink. The report gives a capacity of three, but says the space is likely more comfortable for two. Reisemobil International’s April 2025 account likewise presents the prototype as intended for a couple and, at most, one child or dog. Capacity should therefore not be confused with roomy three-person accommodation.

Dimensions and weight: published figures differ
Two reports give different measurements and weights. They do not explain whether the differences reflect a revised design, measurement method, or configuration, so the figures should be read separately rather than combined into one definitive specification.

Sources: New Atlas and Reisemobil International. The reported 750 kg permissible gross weight is a trailer limit, not a statement that every tow vehicle can safely or legally tow it. Buyers would need the final trailer documentation and their vehicle’s towing limits for the relevant market.
Power and monitoring features
The 3Dnatives interview reports autonomous batteries, the ability to connect solar panels, and sensors that monitor temperature, water level and battery charge. New Atlas also mentions solar or battery equipment as optional. The reports do not establish a specific battery capacity, solar-panel specification, runtime, or compatible product, so they do not support a prediction of how long the camper can operate off-grid.

Is it available, and what does it cost?
Current availability and pricing are not verified. New Atlas reported on November 7, 2024, that iScale3D planned preorder pricing of €12,000–€18,000 depending on options and rentals at €60 per day; the article said availability had not yet been announced. Those were historical plans, not confirmed current offers. In April 2025, Reisemobil International still described the Discover 3D as a prototype, said no price had been provided, and reported plans for mass production by Lemki Robotix and iScale3D. Neither report establishes that orders or rentals are now accepted in a particular country.
