What Stellantis reported for Q3 2026
In its October 1, 2026, U.S. sales release, Stellantis reported 324,277 vehicles sold, with total sales steady compared with Q3 2025. U.S. year-to-date total sales through Q3 were up 3% versus the first three quarters of 2025. Ram’s 73% figure refers to Ram 1500 total sales; its retail-sales increase was 42%, a different measure. The FIAT percentage also needs its volume context: it reflects 54 vehicles compared with 321 a year earlier. A large percentage change from a small base is not equivalent to a large change in overall company volume.
Dodge Charger results also differed by version: the company’s table reports opposite directions for the ICE and BEV models. Those figures should not be collapsed into a single claim about the Charger without specifying the version. The brand and model figures identify divergence, but do not by themselves explain its causes or establish market share, consumer demand or profitability.

Where the 6% figure comes from
Stellantis’ October 30, 2025, Q3 release reported that U.S. sales increased 6% year over year across Jeep, Ram, Chrysler and Dodge. That is a historical U.S. figure, not the Q3 2026 result. The same 2025 release reported EU30 market share of 15.4%, down from the prior year, and attributed the decline to weakness in France and Italy. The title’s 6% may reflect that earlier report, but the origin of the wording is unverified. It should not be treated as a confirmed explanation of how the title was produced.

How to compare the numbers accurately
Automotive reports use several measures that answer different questions. Keep the reporting period, geography, population and metric consistent when comparing results:
- Total sales: use the company’s stated sales figures for the specific market and quarter.
- Retail sales: distinguish these from total sales; the Ram 1500 retail increase was not the same as its total-sales increase.
- Shipments and revenue: neither can be inferred from a U.S. sales-release total.
- Market share: it is a separate measure from a company’s sales growth. Stellantis’ Q3 2025 EU30 share result does not describe its Q3 2026 U.S. sales.
