It does not establish a trade, confirm three vehicles, or identify the Escalade as an IQ. How much range do the Escalade IQ and IQL claim?
For the 2026 model year, Cadillac estimates the Escalade IQ can travel up to 465 miles on a charge. The longer Escalade IQL is estimated at up to 460 miles. These are manufacturer estimates, not results from a comparable independent test, and the five-mile difference does not establish which one would go farther in a particular owner’s use.

Both range figures are Cadillac estimates. They are not proof that O’Neal’s Escalade has a particular range advantage over his former trucks, and they should not be confused with an independent road-test result.
What independent driving evidence is available?
Car and Driver’s June 24, 2026 IQL review covered 1,600 miles over nine days, through five states and one Canadian province. The reviewer recharged six times, using DC fast charging and slower overnight charging, and reported that the vehicle’s energy-use display consistently indicated 1.9 miles per kWh. The reviewer praised comfort and highway manners but found the IQL’s size made parking difficult. These are observations from one IQL on one trip, not a universal ownership result. That review also summarizes a separate Car and Driver test in which the standard IQ traveled 380 miles on a charge. That figure applies to the IQ test, not the IQL road trip; the IQL itself did not undergo the publication’s 75-mph highway range test. Cadillac lists different Level 2 AC charging ratings depending on IQL trim. Its stated range-per-hour figures are manufacturer claims and depend on charging conditions.
