BYD describes the DENZA Z9GT with two rear aerodynamic elements: a suspended spoiler above the rear glass and a retractable lower tail wing. But the official material reviewed does not confirm that the wing is electrically actuated or that either element uses carbon fiber. BYD’s media hub lists a Z9GT photo-and-video album dated 13 April 2026, though it does not establish that the album is the specific image release suggested by the headline.
What the Z9GT’s rear design actually includes
DENZA is BYD’s premium automotive brand, and the Z9GT is presented as its premium GT model. In its European launch material, BYD describes a single-piece suspended spoiler above the rear glass and a retractable tail wing lower on the rear. The company says the two elements work with the air suspension to bring the car closer to the ground in motion, supporting aerodynamic efficiency and driving dynamics. Are the wing and attachments electric or carbon fiber?
The sources reviewed confirm that the lower tail wing is retractable, but do not say it is electrically actuated. They also do not substantiate carbon-fiber construction for the wing or any associated attachments. Those details should therefore be treated as unverified, not as confirmed Z9GT equipment.

What is known about the design images
BYD Media lists an album titled “Album photos & vidéos – DENZA Z9GT” dated 13/04/2026. That confirms the album’s listed date, but not that it is the particular newly released design-image set implied by the headline. BYD Media photo-and-video album listing

European powertrain context
The Z9GT is presented in Europe in pure-electric and plug-in-hybrid Super Hybrid DM configurations. BYD’s 2026 European launch release gives the following figures; they apply to the specified versions and should not be generalized to other markets or configurations.
