What the £227-a-month offer includes
Autotrader’s UK under-£300 leasing listings show the OMODA 7 1.5T SHS 18.4kWh Knight DHT1 Euro 6 (s/s) 5dr at £227 a month including VAT. The detailed offer page gives the same quote as £226.71 a month, with £2,720.49 due initially and 23 further monthly payments. The listing rounds those figures to £227 and £2,721; the difference is rounding, not a materially different deal. Check the Autotrader under-£300 lease listings and the detailed OMODA 7 offer before applying, as rentals can change or be withdrawn.

Using the detailed quote, the scheduled rentals total £7,940.82 over 24 months (£2,720.49 plus 23 payments of £226.71), before any charges that may apply under the contract. This is the total of the quoted rentals, not a guarantee that every applicant will be approved or that the terms will remain available.
Who can take the lease, and what happens at the end?
Autotrader describes the deal as personal contract hire (PCH). Its terms say applicants must be UK residents aged 18 or older and subject to status and approval. Approval and the advertised price are not guaranteed for every applicant. Leasing does not give you ownership of the car: you return it at the end of the agreement.

The contract sets an annual mileage allowance. Driving beyond it can trigger excess-mileage charges, while the car must also meet the provider’s fair-wear-and-tear return standard. Read the detailed offer and the actual contract for the mileage rate, return requirements, fees and any other conditions before signing; those specifics are not established by the headline listing. Autotrader also says payments are not an offer of credit and may be varied or withdrawn.
What kind of SUV is the OMODA 7?
The Car Expert’s UK first-drive review, by Editorial Director Stuart Masson and dated 4 March 2026, describes the OMODA 7 as a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV. It reports UK Knight and Noble trims priced at £32,000 and £35,000 respectively at the time of the review. Those are review-reported prices, not lease costs, and should not be treated as current purchase prices without checking with OMODA.

Plug-in hybrid power and electric range
The reviewed Noble SHS combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor; the review gives outputs of 204hp and 365Nm. It describes an 18kWh battery and a manufacturer-claimed electric-only range of 56 miles. That 56-mile figure is a claim, not a real-world result: Masson says the short launch drive could not establish typical UK range. He also notes that the petrol engine takes over as speed rises, making motorway cruising feel like driving a petrol SUV. The review does not provide a measured fuel-consumption figure.
The review reports charging capability of up to 40kW at public chargers, vehicle-to-load output of up to 3kW and a charge port on the right-rear quarter. It does not establish the connector type or whether a charging cable or other equipment is included. Check the vehicle’s current specification and equipment list before buying a cable or planning how you will charge it.

Space, equipment and warranty
The first-drive review reports a 630-litre boot, a 750kg unbraked towing limit and a 1,250kg braked limit. It says the car received a five-star Euro NCAP rating in July 2025 and reports a seven-year/100,000-mile new-car warranty as standard on both trims. Confirm the current warranty conditions, exclusions and trim specifications with OMODA before relying on them.
For the Knight, the review highlights a 16-inch central screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 540-degree camera system. It says the Noble adds items including 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof and ventilated front seats. Masson praises the OMODA 7’s equipment, rear-seat space and boot, while noting a heavy ride, limited physical controls and small screen fonts. These are observations from a first drive, not a long-term ownership assessment.

Is this lease worth considering?
The offer may suit a driver who wants a new plug-in hybrid SUV for a defined two-year period, expects to stay within 5,000 miles a year and is comfortable returning the car rather than owning it. Whether the terms work for you depends on more than the monthly figure: the initial rental is substantial, the mileage allowance is limited, and the lease does not build ownership.
When comparing it with another lease, compare the full scheduled rentals, contract length and mileage allowance on the same basis. Also check delivery timing, eligibility, charging access, practical space and equipment, and the return conditions. The available sources do not establish a like-for-like rival quote, so they do not support calling this the cheapest or best-value OMODA 7 lease.

Stuart Masson’s review calls the OMODA 7 “the most complete car the brand has brought to the UK yet” and praises its equipment and claimed electric range. That is the reviewer’s assessment, not a quantified comparison or a guarantee of how the car will suit an individual driver.
