Which song did Ricciardo sing?
The song is not identified in the available report. Ricciardo’s quoted description was that he was “trying to smash out some vocals” with Parkway Drive; it does not say he sang a full track or name the vocal passage. There is therefore no supported song title to report.
How did Ricciardo describe the appearance?
PerthNow reproduced Ricciardo’s Instagram reaction after the show: “Still on cloud 9 after what happened tonight.” The report also quoted his thanks to the band for making his “dream come true of being in a band for a night,” and said he called the experience something he would never forget. Those words convey how he remembered the moment, while the specific performance details remain limited to the report’s description.

Was music already part of Ricciardo’s life?
Later Formula 1 profiles offer context for his enthusiasm without adding evidence about what happened on stage in 2016. In a 2020 profile, Ricciardo named Canadian band Alexisonfire as a favorite from growing up and said punk got him into music. A 2018 profile listed live music among his favorite activities. In a 2024 quickfire interview, he joked about a hypothetical Formula 1 band called “The Rejects.” These later comments show an ongoing interest in music, but do not identify a song from the Parkway Drive appearance. Formula 1’s 2020 profile, 2018 profile and 2024 interview provide that later context.
