What is the Dacia Hipster?
Unveiled on 6 October 2025, the Hipster is Dacia’s concept for compact, lower-cost electric mobility. The announcement presents it as a design study and an alternative vision of everyday transport; it does not confirm that the vehicle will go on sale. Dacia’s UK concept page says the Hipster weighs less than 800 kg. Its global announcement separately describes it as 20% lighter than the Dacia Spring. Those are two different manufacturer claims: the 20% comparison does not provide an exact Hipster weight, and the UK figure is a concept-page specification rather than a homologated production figure. What is its range and charging time?
Dacia says two recharges a week should be enough for daily journeys in city, suburban and country use. The UK page says the concept can be plugged into a household socket. Neither cited official page gives a numeric driving range, battery capacity, charging time or standardized test-cycle result.
