Spain’s current Nissan SUV lineup does not include the KAIT, and there is no confirmed Spanish price, launch date or specification. The idea that it could become a lower-cost option for Spanish buyers is a possibility discussed by Diariomotor—not an announced Nissan plan.
What is the Nissan KAIT, and where is it sold?
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced the KAIT’s global launch on December 3, 2025, describing it as a model for Latin America. Nissan presents it as a spacious SUV with a stylish appearance and safety features. Its release gives a trunk capacity of 432 litres, which is Nissan’s stated figure—not a Spain-specific or independently verified measurement. Nissan’s launch announcement says: “The Kait’s packaging including trunk capacity of 432 liters makes it well suited to meet the needs of drivers seeking comfort and confidence.”
Nissan also says: “More details and specifications will be announced at the official launch in each market.” That matters for Spanish shoppers: equipment or figures published for a Latin American market cannot establish what a Spanish version would offer.
The model is listed on Nissan Paraguay’s KAIT page. A 2026 Nissan Paraguay brochure describes a 1.6-litre engine, XTRONIC CVT and adaptive cruise control. Those are Paraguay-market details; they should not be treated as the specification of a potential Spanish KAIT.

Is the Nissan KAIT coming to Spain?
No Spanish launch has been confirmed in the available official information. Nissan España’s current SUV range page lists the Juke, Qashqai, LEAF, ARIYA and X-Trail, but not the KAIT. That indicates the KAIT is not represented in Nissan’s published Spanish range; it does not prove that Nissan will never add it.
Diariomotor reported on October 4, 2026, that the KAIT has no European commercialization plan. Its suggestion that the model might fill a budget-oriented gap in Spain is the outlet’s analysis, not a Nissan announcement. There is no sourced Spanish arrival date, price, trim list, homologation or confirmed local powertrain.

Why is it part of Spain’s budget-SUV debate?
Diariomotor’s comparison frames a hypothetical KAIT as a simpler, lower-cost SUV for buyers who put price first, with a possible role akin to the Sandero Stepway within Dacia’s range. That is a proposition about where the vehicle might fit—not evidence that Nissan intends to position or price it that way in Spain.
Without a Spanish offer, there is no sound basis for a price forecast or a like-for-like verdict against vehicles already sold in Spain. In particular, a price from a Latin American market should not be converted directly into a Spanish list-price estimate: local taxes, equipment, market conditions and the actual Spanish specification would need to be known.

What should Spanish buyers compare if Nissan announces it?
A useful comparison would start with the Spanish version actually offered, not the KAIT’s name or its specifications in another market. Check these points against competing models using comparable versions and measurement standards:
- Price: Spanish list and transaction prices, including fees and any financing conditions.
- Powertrain: Engine or motor, transmission, fuel type and official fuel-consumption figures for each Spanish trim.
- Space: Dimensions, rear-seat room and luggage capacity measured on a comparable basis.
- Safety: Standard equipment by trim and any independent crash-test result that applies to the version sold in Spain.
- Ownership: Warranty, delivery timing and local dealer and service support.
Until Nissan publishes a Spanish specification, details from Paraguay—or assumptions based on another Nissan model—cannot answer those questions.
