Overview

Founded in 2010 in Mississauga, Ontario, GoFleet focuses on helping fleets reduce downtime and operate more safely and efficiently. Its web-based platform provides real-time visibility across vehicles and customer services, with reporting intended to streamline workflows and support operational decisions.

This is a broad fleet-management offering rather than a narrow GPS tracker. GoFleet combines hardware and software for vehicle health, routing, maintenance, electronic logging, data storage and asset tracking. Live location, diagnostics, driver-behaviour insights, sensor monitoring, ELD support and API access are included in its offering.

Key features

Tracking, diagnostics and safety

GoFleet describes its GPS tracking as real-time and says the system is used for 3.5 million vehicles globally. Safety tools include driver metrics, customizable alerts, collision-avoidance features and coaching. Integrated dash cameras add high-definition footage review and saved clips for training or incident analysis, while AI, driver-assistance systems and Face AI are part of the cloud telematics platform.

That mix gives fleet managers several ways to address safety and vehicle oversight in one platform. The trade-off is that buyers should assess which camera and safety capabilities suit their operation rather than assume every fleet needs the full stack.

Dispatch and proof of delivery

Mobile Dispatch lets drivers download the app by SMS and sign in with a mobile number. They can receive jobs, update job status, and capture signatures and photos as proof of delivery. Real-time job tracking and notifications make it relevant to delivery and service fleets that need dispatch activity connected to field work.

Assets, temperature and indoor positioning

GoFleet combines asset tracking with temperature monitoring to help reduce monitoring costs and support product-quality standards, which may suit cold-chain operators. Its proprietary BLE indoor-tracking solution states positioning accuracy of 50 cm, a specific capability for operations that need to locate assets inside facilities.

Compliance and integration

ELD tools automate driver and back-office time tracking, reporting and compliance management. An SDK supports custom functions, apps for phones and tablets, third-party software and custom reports; hardware integrations span sensors, cameras and marketplace solutions. The public API is limited to 150 requests per minute, with a 429 response when that threshold is exceeded. Integrations that depend on frequent API calls should be checked against that ceiling.

Security and support

GoFleet describes device safeguards including encryption, authenticated end-to-end telematics security, message-integrity verification, non-static keys and digitally signed firmware. The GO9 RUGGED tracker is described as FIPS 140-2 validated by NIST and certified to IP68 and IP69K. GoFleet also says website information is SSL-encrypted and personal information is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. Personal information is stored on cloud servers in North America and may also be stored in other countries.

Support channels include phone, email and live chat. Mobile Dispatch users receive installation assistance, troubleshooting and ongoing technical support, a useful addition for fleets bringing drivers onto a new dispatch workflow.

Pricing

GoFleet uses paid, custom pricing: the Customized pricing plan is pay-for-what-you-use, with an estimate requiring contact with GoFleet. Buyers should request a quote against their vehicle, asset, hardware and integration requirements before comparing total cost.

Because pricing is usage-based, it may suit fleets that want a tailored combination of telematics and operational tools, but it offers no published entry price for budgeting. Confirm what hardware and services are included, how usage is measured, and the API limit’s implications for your integrations.

Platforms

GoFleet supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, as well as API access. That range accommodates mobile driver workflows and desktop fleet operations, while the API and SDK support integration work subject to the request cap.

Who it's for

GoFleet targets a wide range of operations, including construction, government, waste management, airports, emergency response, transportation, forestry, agriculture, food and beverage, school transportation, healthcare, delivery, oil and gas, and public transportation. Its combination of vehicle diagnostics, ELD, safety, dispatch and sensor monitoring is most relevant to fleets with several operational needs to coordinate.

It is less compelling for a buyer seeking only a simple, low-cost tracker with a predictable public price, or for an integration that requires more than 150 API requests per minute. In those cases, establish the commercial and technical fit before choosing the broader platform.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad operational coverage: Tracking, diagnostics, ELD, safety, dispatch and asset monitoring can serve fleets that want more than location data.
Driver-facing dispatch workflow: SMS app download, mobile-number login, job updates and photo or signature proof of delivery connect field work to dispatch.
Specialized monitoring: Temperature monitoring and 50 cm BLE indoor positioning address cold-chain and indoor asset needs.
Multiple integration routes: An SDK, API and hardware ecosystem support custom workflows, reports and connected devices.
Installation and ongoing help: Mobile Dispatch users receive installation assistance, troubleshooting and technical support.

Cons

No published plan price: Custom pricing requires contacting GoFleet, so early cost comparisons are harder.
API throughput is capped: The 150-requests-per-minute limit can constrain high-frequency integrations and triggers a 429 response when exceeded.
Cloud data location can vary: Personal information may be stored outside North America as well as on North American servers, which may matter to organizations with location requirements.

Alternatives

Compare fleet management software to see other options. Choose GPSWOX if a published low-cost GPS plan and a free plan matter more than GoFleet’s wider operational scope; its Light plan is 2.99 USD per month billed yearly for one object, and Basic is 9.97 USD per month billed yearly for one to five objects.

Simply Fleet is worth considering when a free plan and vehicle-maintenance tools are a better fit; its Free Plan covers five vehicles, three users, three parts, six months of data storage and 10 one-time AI credits. Choose Traccar if self-hosting is important: it offers self-hosted platforms as well as a 9.95 USD-per-month Tracking Account on a shared server.

Trimble Viewpoint Vista is another option for buyers who want cloud-hosted or on-premises deployment and are prepared to contact sales for pricing. Fleet Service 365 may suit a small operation looking for a free starting plan, with its Starter tier covering up to three assets and one user.

Consider VAPTA if fleet and workshop workflows, procurement and custom inspection sheets are the priority; its Fleet + Workshop plan is 5.00 GBP per month, billed at £5 per vehicle per month. AUTOsist is an alternative for maintenance-focused fleets, with an All-in Maintenance Package priced at 6.00 USD per year per vehicle per month when billed annually, or $7 monthly, and a $59 monthly minimum for five vehicles.

Fleetio may fit buyers focused on vehicle inventory and smaller fleets; its Essential plan is 4.00 USD per vehicle per month billed annually or $5 billed monthly, with prices assuming five assets.

Verdict

GoFleet is a strong candidate for fleets that need telematics tied to dispatch, driver safety, compliance and asset monitoring, especially when they can make use of its hardware and SDK ecosystem. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; custom pricing and the 150-request-per-minute API ceiling are the main reasons to look elsewhere. Request a quote and validate integration throughput before treating it as a fit.
