Overview

AUTOsist is fleet maintenance software with a mobile app and web portal for managing vehicle operations and records. It brings preventive maintenance, inspections, documents, fuel and inventory into one system, with GPS and telematics available in higher-priced packages. The product is aimed at fleets operating vehicles, trucks, trailers and equipment, though AUTOsist also says its app can be used personally.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Orange County, California, AUTOsist is available on the web, iOS and Android. Its mobile app and web portal sync, and the app can add or view records offline, then sync changes once a network connection is available.

Key features

Maintenance and inspections

Teams can set preventive maintenance schedules, keep service histories, send reminders and manage work orders. Custom digital inspection checklists let users tailor inspections to their needs. AUTOsist can notify users when an inspection item is marked as not in proper working order.

Records, fuel and inventory

The system stores service documents and receipts, and helps manage registration and insurance documents. A history log tracks record changes. Fuel tools cover fuel tracking and fuel card data, while inventory features include parts counts and low-stock alerts.

GPS and integrations

AUTOsist offers telematics, GPS and fuel card integrations. GPS and telematics features include vehicle location, odometer updates and diagnostic trouble code alerts. The company notes that most integrations are limited to odometer updates and fuel card data, so fleets should check whether a specific integration supports the information they need.

Driver safety tools and compliance tracking are also listed among the product's capabilities. The pricing page lists 24/7 email and phone support with the maintenance package. Google Play states that app data is encrypted in transit and that users can request deletion of their data.

Pricing

AUTOsist describes its pricing model as freemium, but the listed free plan is not available. A 14-day free trial is offered without requiring a credit card. Paid pricing starts at $6 per vehicle per month, billed annually.

All-in Maintenance Package: $6.00 USD per vehicle, per month, billed annually; or $7 monthly. Minimum $59/month for 5 vehicles. Non-vehicle assets: $3. Volume discounts over 100 vehicles.
All-in Maintenance + GPS & Telematics: $28.00 USD per vehicle, per month, billed annually. 5 vehicle minimum. Volume discounts over 100 vehicles.
Maintenance Package + GPS & Telematics + Safety Cameras: $55.00 USD per vehicle, per month, billed annually. 5 vehicle minimum. Volume discounts over 100 vehicles.

The listed vehicle limit is 5 vehicles. Since the maintenance plan has a $59/month minimum for five vehicles, smaller operators should account for that minimum when comparing the per-vehicle rate. The other two packages also require at least five vehicles.

Platforms

AUTOsist runs on the web and has mobile apps for iOS and Android. The mobile app can access and add records offline, with changes syncing when the device reconnects. This can help staff record information away from a reliable network connection, while the web portal provides another way to manage the system.

Who it's for

AUTOsist may suit small fleets that need maintenance schedules, inspections, service documentation and fuel or parts records in a single tool. Its support for trucks, trailers and equipment also makes it relevant to businesses managing a mix of fleet assets. Operators that need GPS and telematics can choose packages that include those capabilities, but should verify the scope of the integrations they rely on.

The five-vehicle minimum on paid packages matters for smaller teams, and the maintenance package's $59/month minimum sets a floor even though its annual-billing rate is $6 per vehicle per month. Personal users are also mentioned by AUTOsist, although the listed packages are priced around vehicle fleets.

Verdict

AUTOsist covers a broad set of day-to-day fleet recordkeeping needs, from maintenance planning and inspections to fuel, documents and parts inventory. Its offline-capable mobile app and optional GPS and telematics packages extend that core maintenance focus. The main buying considerations are the lack of a free plan, the five-vehicle minimum and the limited scope of most integrations. Fleets should also distinguish the annual per-vehicle rates from the maintenance package's monthly minimum before budgeting.
