Cocoa Motors’ laptop-sized WALKCAR electric ride is already on its second generation: the company announced sales of WALKCAR 2 and WALKCAR 2 Pro from April 1, 2024—not a new 2026 release. Both weigh 2.9 kg, but the Pro is faster and has a longer manufacturer-claimed range, while the standard WALKCAR 2 has a tighter turning radius and a different public-road classification in Japan.
WALKCAR 2 and WALKCAR 2 Pro specifications
The figures below are Cocoa Motors’ published specifications, not independent test results. Its range estimates assume continuous travel at 10 km/h, a 60 kg payload and flat ground. The maker says turning radius is estimated at 6 km/h and varies with surface, rider weight and weight shift; its climbing figures use a 60 kg load in the company’s test environment.

How the two models differ in practice
Choose WALKCAR 2 for the tighter published turn and Japan road-use statement
The standard model’s stated 0.8 m minimum turning radius is smaller than the Pro’s 1.1 m. It also has a lower top speed, with modes up to 10 km/h. For Japan, Cocoa Motors says this model is supported for public-road use and treated as pedestrian use. That is the company’s Japan-specific statement, not a legal conclusion for other countries or regions.

Choose WALKCAR 2 Pro for speed and the longer claimed range
The Pro offers a 15 km/h maximum mode and a stated 8 km range, compared with 10 km/h and 7 km for WALKCAR 2. It also has the higher published output and climbing rating. Those figures do not establish real-world range or performance for a particular rider or route. Cocoa Motors says the Pro is not supported for public-road use in Japan and is treated as a moped there.
Can WALKCAR 2 be used on public roads in Japan?
Cocoa Motors says WALKCAR 2 is supported for public-road use in Japan and treated as pedestrian use, while WALKCAR 2 Pro is not supported for Japanese public-road use and is treated as a moped. These classifications are the manufacturer’s description for Japan; they should not be applied to another jurisdiction. Check local rules and the current official product guidance before riding, since the legal status of personal mobility devices depends on location.

How WALKCAR controls work and who the maker says it is for
Cocoa Motors describes foot-pressure and body-weight controls: pressing both toes accelerates, raising one toe slows the device, and shifting body weight steers. The company says WALKCAR stops automatically when the rider gets off. These are manufacturer descriptions; no independent ride or safety test is established here.
The company lists a target rider age of 10–59 and target weight of 20–80 kg, and says riders under 16 should be supervised by an adult. These are manufacturer-published parameters, not independent safety guidance.

Price, stock, shipping and purchase terms
The official international store lists WALKCAR 2 at ¥283,800 and WALKCAR 2 Pro at ¥324,500, and says it ships worldwide. The listings showed sold-out variants when checked, so the prices do not mean either model can currently be ordered. Verify stock and the delivered cost directly with Cocoa Motors. The store warns that import duties, taxes and customs fees may be the buyer’s responsibility, and that orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded after confirmation. Replacement tires and charger changes
Cocoa Motors’ Japanese shop lists replacement front and rear tires at ¥9,900 each. It lists a 60W compact charger at ¥9,900 and says shipments starting in 2026 include that charger as standard; its collection labels the 90W charger at ¥13,200 as standard through 2025. Confirm compatibility, the model and production period before buying a replacement part, since included accessories and prices may change. When did Cocoa Motors release WALKCAR?
The original WALKCAR had a separate launch announcement dated June 9, 2020. Cocoa Motors announced sales of WALKCAR 2 and WALKCAR 2 Pro beginning April 1, 2024.
