Terry was from Wooroloo, worked as a carpenter and was a father of one. According to the report, he was on his way to get a haircut before his father’s wedding. PerthNow’s report of the crash was published on 28 March 2015.
What PerthNow reported about the day’s road deaths
PerthNow described Terry’s death as one of four road deaths over four hours that day, including two other fatal crashes on Perth freeways. In its 28 March 2015 report, the newspaper put Western Australia’s road toll at 44 for the year, compared with 39 at the same point the previous year. Those are figures reported at the time, not current totals.

Darren Austin, identified by PerthNow as the operator of the Chidlow Tavern and Terry’s friend, described the grief in the community: “We’ve had guys walking in the pub and crying. It’s such an awful loss.”
