The Bolt EUV and Equinox EV are different electric vehicles from different model eras: Chevrolet’s Bolt EUV parts listing covers 2022–2023, while the Equinox EV launched for 2024. The returning 2027 Chevrolet Bolt is a separate model—not a new Bolt EUV. For shoppers, the key distinction is that the available Chevrolet figures do not support a fully matched, current trim-by-trim comparison: compare exact model years, prices, range estimates, and vehicle condition before choosing.
First, distinguish Bolt EUV from the returning Bolt
Bolt EUV is the name of Chevrolet’s earlier electric utility vehicle; Chevrolet’s parts catalog lists it for model years 2022–2023. Chevrolet separately announced a 2027 Bolt. That announcement concerns the Bolt nameplate, not the Bolt EUV, so current Bolt pricing or range figures should not be attributed to the discontinued EUV. What the current Chevrolet lineup figures do—and do not—show
Chevrolet’s lineup page, accessed in 2026, lists the Bolt at a $27,600 starting price and 262 miles of GM-estimated range. Those are figures for the Bolt shown on that current page, not evidence of a current Bolt EUV price or range. The same page lists the Equinox EV starting at $34,995 and 319 miles of EPA-estimated range for FWD. Because the models and estimate labels differ, these figures are not a like-for-like comparison of Bolt EUV and Equinox EV trims. Equinox EV: 2024 published specifications
Chevrolet’s 2024 Equinox EV announcement gave EPA-estimated range of 319 miles for FWD and 285 miles for AWD. It specified standard 11.5 kW Level 2 AC charging and DC fast charging up to 150 kW. These are historical 2024 specifications, not a guarantee for every later model year or trim. Bolt EUV: 2023 model-year charging claim
Chevrolet’s media material for the 2023 Bolt EUV says DC fast charging is standard and claims drivers can add up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes. That is a manufacturer claim for that model year, not a universal charging-time promise. It cannot be directly compared with the Equinox EV’s peak charging-power figure: miles added depend on factors such as battery state, temperature, charger, and driving efficiency. Space, equipment, and warranty require exact-trim checks
Chevrolet’s current lineup page lists up to five seats and 56.3 cubic feet of maximum cargo volume for the Bolt shown there. Since that page’s Bolt is not the Bolt EUV, those numbers should not be used as Bolt EUV specifications. The available sources do not establish a complete, matching comparison of Bolt EUV and Equinox EV dimensions, cargo capacity, driver-assistance equipment, or infotainment features. Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact model year and trim you are considering.

For the 2024 Equinox EV, Chevrolet announced an 8-year/100,000-mile battery limited warranty. Treat that as the stated warranty for the 2024 vehicle, and confirm the applicable warranty terms for the specific vehicle and its in-service date. A used Bolt EUV buyer should also review the vehicle’s warranty status, service history, and recall history rather than assuming coverage based on its model name.

How to choose between a used Bolt EUV and an Equinox EV
- Match the model year and trim. Confirm that the vehicle is a Bolt EUV—not the 2027 Bolt—and identify the Equinox EV’s year, drivetrain, and trim.
- Compare actual transaction costs. Use dealer quotes for the specific vehicles, including applicable incentives and fees; the current lineup starting prices do not establish a Bolt EUV price or a matched-trim comparison.
- Compare range on a consistent basis. Prefer the estimate for the exact vehicle and drivetrain, and keep GM-estimated and EPA-estimated figures clearly distinguished.
- Check your charging routine. Confirm home-charging needs, public fast-charger access, and equipment compatibility. Published charging claims are not substitutes for expected results under your conditions.
- Inspect the individual vehicle. For a used Bolt EUV, verify battery and warranty status, service and recall records, and overall condition. For either model, confirm the features and warranty on the exact vehicle rather than inferring them from another year or trim.
