Chery lists 143.94 km of WLTP electric range for the Estonia plug-in hybrid and 170 km under the NEDC cycle for Australia’s MY2026 Super Hybrid. Those are manufacturer figures from different test cycles—not a promise of everyday range or a global specification.

WLTP and NEDC are different test cycles, so the Estonia and Australia figures are not an apples-to-apples comparison. The documents provide laboratory-cycle claims, not a verified real-world range test. Chery Australia notes that actual performance can vary with driving style, battery and vehicle condition, charging equipment and environmental conditions.
Is the Chery Tiggo 9 a seven-seater?
Yes, the reviewed European and Australian plug-in hybrid specifications describe a seven-seat, all-wheel-drive SUV. Estonia’s sheet lists a 1.5-litre turbo PHEV, 315 kW (422 hp) combined output and a 34.46 kWh battery; it also lists maximum AC charging power of 6.7 kW. Australia’s MY2026 sheet lists seven seats, AWD and 315 kW combined power. Confirm local equipment with an authorized dealer, because availability and specifications can change. Whether it “won’t break the bank” depends on your local taxes and on-road costs, trim, model year and what comparable seven-seat PHEVs cost where you live. The listed prices do not establish a like-for-like rival comparison or show that the Tiggo 9 is the cheapest option. If you are comparing it with another SUV, check the same market’s final price, electric-range test cycle, seating and third-row practicality, AWD, charging specification, warranty and dealer support.
