Cheapest New American Touring Motorcycles With Over 100 HP: What 2026 Prices Confirm

The 2026 Harley-Davidson Road Glide is the lowest-priced touring bike in the available sources with horsepower clearly above 100 hp. Other prices are listed, but not enough model-specific power data exists to support a ten-bike ranking.

The 2026 Harley-Davidson Road Glide is the least-expensive American-brand touring motorcycle in the available manufacturer evidence that is clearly confirmed to exceed 100 horsepower: Harley lists it at $25,999+ and rates it at 105 hp at 4,600 rpm. The sources do not establish ten qualifying models, so a ranked “10 cheapest” list would overstate what is verified.

Here is what the official U.S. model-year information does confirm—and what shoppers should check before comparing prices or power.

Which 2026 American touring bikes are confirmed to exceed 100 hp?

For this comparison, “American” means an American motorcycle brand; the cited pages do not establish where every motorcycle is manufactured. Prices below are manufacturer-listed starting U.S. MSRPs, not out-the-door totals. A model belongs on a horsepower-qualified list only when the source specifies output for the relevant model or trim.

Model or configuration Starting U.S. MSRP Published horsepower What is confirmed
Harley-Davidson Road Glide (2026) $25,999+ 105 hp at 4,600 rpm Harley-Davidson’s 2026 model page documents both the starting price and output for the Road Glide. See Road Glide specifications.
Indian Challenger (2026, model family) $27,999 starting price Not established for every configuration Indian’s Challenger page gives a family starting price, while its separate Dark Horse trim listing specifies 122 hp and a $29,749 starting price. The page also attributes 126 hp and 133 ft-lb to the PowerPlus 112 engine; do not apply that engine figure to every Challenger configuration without confirming its powertrain. See Challenger configurations.
Indian Challenger Dark Horse (displayed trim) $29,749 122 hp Indian lists this price and output for the displayed Dark Horse trim. It is a distinct trim listing, not proof that the $27,999 family starting configuration has the same output.

The Road Glide is therefore the clearest low-price qualifying example in the available evidence. Although Indian gives a starting price for the Challenger family, the cited page’s 122-hp figure is associated with the Dark Horse trim and price, so those figures should not be mixed into a claim about the base configuration.

Why there is no defensible ten-bike ranking

A “cheapest” ranking needs comparable starting prices and verified horsepower for every candidate. The official pages retrieved for this comparison list additional touring models and prices, but do not provide model-specific horsepower for all of them. That prevents confirming they meet the over-100-hp threshold.

  • Harley-Davidson Street Glide: listed at $24,999+, but the cited lineup evidence does not establish that it exceeds 100 hp.
  • Indian Roadmaster PowerPlus and Indian Pursuit: each is listed at $32,499, but horsepower was not present in the retrieved source text.
  • Other Indian Roadmaster trims: Roadmaster Dark Horse is listed at $33,499, Roadmaster Limited at $33,749, and Roadmaster at $34,999. The cited evidence does not establish horsepower for these configurations.
  • Harley-Davidson touring models: the lineup also lists Road Glide Limited and Street Glide Limited at $32,999+; it does not establish horsepower for every trim. CVO models are listed at higher starting prices.

Indian’s 2026 lineup and touring lineup provide family listings and prices. Harley-Davidson’s 2026 touring lineup lists Grand American Touring models and starting prices. Those price listings alone do not prove horsepower eligibility.

Rank #2
Dunlop American Elite Rear All Season Radial Tire - 180/65-16 81H
  • Dunlop’s American Elite is a leading aftermarket choice for riders in search of tires that have extended tread wear

To publish a genuine top ten, each candidate would need a manufacturer-published horsepower figure tied to its specific model or trim, plus a comparable starting U.S. MSRP. The ranking would also need a consistent rule for whether trims count as separate entries. Without that, a ten-item list could include bikes that do not meet the title’s threshold or compare a family’s entry price with a more powerful, more expensive trim.

How to compare the prices accurately

Use advertised starting MSRP as a baseline, then account for costs and configuration differences before treating one bike as cheaper to buy.

Dunlop American Elite AE2 130/60B-19 Front Tire | Harley Touring Motorcycle
  • The AE2 delivers enhanced tire mileage thanks to a MT Multi-Tread rear tire technology that incorporates a long-wearing
  • compound in the center of the tire, along with a lateral-grip compound on each shoulder for great handling
  • Dunlops AE2 is the premier aftermarket choice for V-Twin riders in search of tires that deliver extended tread wear
  • Optimized tread pattern design aids in improved wear characteristics and mileage
  • Updated front and rear compounds offer enhanced wear resistance and wet-weather performance
  • Check what the price applies to. The Challenger’s $27,999 is a family starting price; the cited 122-hp Dark Horse listing is $29,749. Match the price and horsepower to the same configuration.
  • Keep the fee exclusions in view. Indian says its MSRP excludes destination and handling fees, tax, title, license, and registration; dealer prices may vary, and setup or modifications may affect the transaction. Harley-Davidson’s touring prices use a plus sign. Neither figure is an out-the-door quote.
  • Compare equipment only at the model level. Indian describes touring motorcycles generally as designed for long-distance comfort, with two-up seating, locking storage, and tanks up to six gallons. That category-level description does not establish that each feature is standard on every model in the comparison.
  • Separate horsepower from torque and engine description. Indian’s Challenger page describes the PowerPlus 112 engine as producing 126 hp and 133 ft-lb, while its displayed Dark Horse trim lists 122 hp. Those are different statements on the manufacturer page, not interchangeable figures for every Challenger.

For the Roadmaster, Indian’s 2026 Roadmaster specifications cover a distinct air-cooled configuration and do not supply a horsepower figure in the cited text. Do not use those specifications to infer power for the separate Roadmaster PowerPlus model.

What the verified comparison says

On the evidence available, the 2026 Road Glide is the confirmed entry point: $25,999+ starting U.S. MSRP and 105 hp at 4,600 rpm. Indian’s Challenger Dark Horse is another explicitly priced and rated example at $29,749 and 122 hp, while the Challenger family’s listed starting price is $27,999. Other touring models may qualify, but their cited price listings are not enough to establish that they exceed 100 hp.
