What is the cheapest McLaren you can buy?
Used-car guides identify the McLaren 12C, also called the MP4-12C, as a possible low-price entry point. The 540C and 570S also appear in discussions of entry-level used McLarens. Which model is cheapest depends on the country, body style, year, mileage, condition, specification and current availability; no representative market-wide price series establishes one model as the cheapest everywhere.
It also matters whether “cheapest” means the lowest advertised price or the car that makes the most sense after inspection. An inexpensive listing is not evidence of good condition, complete maintenance or lower ownership risk.
What do used McLarens cost?
The available price examples are regional and not directly comparable. They are useful context, not a current global price floor or a market average.

McLaren 12C / MP4-12C
The 12C is an older model that used-car guides identify as a potential low-price route into McLaren ownership. McLaren 540C

McLaren 570S and 570GT
The 570S is part of the entry-level Sport Series discussion in the used-car guide; the official European inventory example is a 570GT. Coupé, Spider and GT versions are different body styles and use cases, so one listing does not establish what another should cost. How to judge whether a low-priced McLaren is worth pursuing
- Compare the real local cost. Check the country of sale, registration, taxes, import costs and local availability. A price in pounds, euros or dollars is not comparable without those details.
- Match the exact cars. Compare model and body style, model year, mileage, equipment and modifications. A 12C Spider and a 570GT are not equivalent simply because both are used McLarens.

- Check preparation and warranty terms. McLaren says its Qualified/Certified retailer program includes a minimum 12-month warranty, potentially extendable to 24 months; servicing due within three months of handover is completed, and the car receives a McLaren-designed bodywork and mechanical inspection. - Weigh price against what the inspection finds. Compare the asking price with records, inspection results, preparation and warranty support. The lowest advertised price alone does not establish the better-value car.
What to verify with a McLaren retailer
McLaren Automotive Limited’s official pre-owned inventory page states: “Please verify any information that may affect your decision to purchase a vehicle with your McLaren retailer.” Confirm the listing is still available and check the car’s exact specification, history, inspection, servicing and applicable warranty terms directly with the seller.
