Honda already sells a low-priced automatic motorcycle-style model in the United States: the 2026 Navi. Honda lists it at $2,199 MSRP, plus a $300 destination charge, for a displayed total MSRP of $2,499. That does not confirm a separate new Honda automatic motorcycle: no official announcement of another model is established here.
What Honda’s Navi is—and what it is not
The Navi is a compact miniMOTO with motorcycle-inspired bodywork and scooter-derived automatic drive. Its 109.2cc engine is rear-mounted and drives through a belt-style V-Matic continuously variable transmission (CVT). Twist the throttle to go; there is no clutch lever or shift lever. That makes “automatic motorcycle” a useful shorthand for its riding experience, but not a precise description of a conventional geared motorcycle. The Navi is also not a newly invented model: Honda says it was first produced in 2016 and came to the U.S. market for model year 2022.
How much does the 2026 Navi cost?
Honda’s U.S. product page lists a $2,199 base MSRP, a $300 destination charge and a displayed total MSRP of $2,499. These are Honda’s listed figures for the 2026 U.S. model, not a dealer’s out-the-door quote. Taxes, dealer fees and local pricing can change what a buyer pays. How the Navi’s automatic drive differs from Honda DCT
Navi: twist-and-go CVT
The Navi’s V-Matic/CVT changes its drive ratio continuously rather than asking the rider to select gears. It is designed for simple twist-and-go operation, without a clutch or shift lever.
DCT: automated clutch and gear shifts
Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission automates clutch and shift operation while retaining a multi-gear transmission structure. Honda describes automatic and manual modes. Its DCT lineup includes models such as the NC750X, Africa Twin, Gold Wing, Rebel 1100, NT1100 and X-ADV—not low-priced Navi equivalents. Honda explains the system on its DCT technology page.

Honda also announced Human-Friendly Transmission (HFT) for the DN-01 in 2007, with two automatic modes and a six-speed manual mode. That is historical context, not evidence of a new 2026 model. The announcement is Honda’s 2007 DN-01 release.
What to consider before buying
- Real local cost: Compare a dealer’s complete out-the-door quote, including applicable taxes and fees, rather than relying on MSRP alone.
- Transmission feel: Decide whether you want the Navi’s twist-and-go CVT, a larger motorcycle with DCT, or a semi-automatic system. Those are different kinds of transmission and riding experience.
- Where and how you will ride: The Navi’s 109.2cc engine and compact miniMOTO format suit a different use case from Honda’s larger touring, adventure and cruiser DCT models. Match displacement and intended riding environment to your routes and needs.
- Fit and handling: Check seat height, weight and ergonomics in person; Honda’s published information does not establish comparative specifications against other brands or models.
- Utility and accessories: Honda identifies a Navi rear rack and windscreen among its accessories. Verify the exact model-year fit and availability before ordering.
Honda gives the 2026 Navi a Honda-tested mileage rating of 110.3 mpg. That is the manufacturer’s test figure, not an independent result or a guarantee of what every rider will achieve. The engine displacement is 109.2cc in Honda’s press material; the product page rounds the description to 109cc.

Has Honda announced another cheap automatic motorcycle?
The available official information establishes the existing 2026 Navi and Honda’s separate DCT-equipped models; it does not confirm a newly announced, separate low-priced automatic motorcycle. Treat claims about a different upcoming Honda model as speculation unless Honda publishes an announcement. Honda’s claim that the Navi is “one of the nation’s best-selling motorcycles” is also a company statement, not an independently verified ranking in the sources cited here.
