Contemporary reports said no local price or sale date had been announced, and the car on display was a completely built unit (CBU), not a locally assembled retail model.
What Changan showed at PAPS 2024
PakWheels reported on October 25, 2024, that Changan unveiled the Lumin at the show as its first electric vehicle. Its roundup identified the displayed car as a CBU and said Changan would assess the local market and price bracket before considering locally assembled units. The report attributed preliminary figures to unnamed Changan officials, while noting that the company had not published Pakistan-market specifications. PakWheels’ PAPS 2024 roundup

Aaj English’s October 27, 2024 report also described the Lumin as a display piece, not a vehicle with a confirmed local launch date or price. It said local assembly might depend on market demand and supporting infrastructure. Those statements describe the situation reported in 2024, not a current announcement from Changan. What the reported figures do—and do not—tell buyers
PakWheels relayed figures of a 28 kW battery, 300 kilometres per charge and 83 Nm of torque from unnamed Changan officials. These are reported remarks about the PAPS vehicle, not independently tested results or a published Pakistan specification sheet. In particular, the 300 km figure should not be read as a standardized range rating.

International Lumin versions have been reported with different battery and range combinations. Those figures are useful context, but the reports do not establish that any particular overseas trim was the car displayed in Pakistan. They should not be combined into a single presumed Pakistan-market specification.
International specifications reported in 2024
| Source and version description | Reported figures | How to interpret them |
|---|---|---|
| HUM News English, international configurations | 12.92 kWh and 155 km; 17.65 kWh and 210 km; 27.99 kWh and up to 301 km | Reported as international battery and range configurations; not identified as Pakistan-market trims. HUM News English |

| Aaj English, Lumin L DC | 28.08 kWh battery; approximately 300–301 km range; 47 hp; 83 Nm; front-wheel drive; up to 101 km/h; 30–100% DC fast charge in 35 minutes | Reported model details, not confirmed as the Pakistan display specification. Aaj English |
| PakWheels, international variant recap | One variant described with a 35 kW motor and CATL battery, 48 hp and up to 210 km; another with a 30 kW motor and Gotion Hightech battery, 41 hp and up to 150 km; both listed at 101 km/h top speed | International recap pending official Pakistan specifications. The article’s motor-and-battery descriptions should not be treated as a local trim sheet. PakWheels |
The numbers differ across reports and configurations. Without a confirmed Pakistan trim and its official specification sheet, the international figures cannot resolve the battery, range, or charging details of a future local retail version.

Aaj English described a four-seat cabin with fabric upholstery, a seven-inch driver information display and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay. It also reported a front passenger seat that folds and slides forward to help rear passengers get in and out.
Other equipment listed by Aaj included keyless entry, push-start ignition, a smart key, a multifunction electronic power steering wheel, a 12-volt outlet, and front and rear USB ports. These are features reported in 2024, not confirmed Pakistan-market equipment. PakWheels’ international recap separately described the Lumin as a two-door, four-seat car with circular LED lights, pop-out door handles, push start, an infotainment display, an LCD meter and climate control. Neither report establishes the final equipment of a Pakistan retail model.
What remains unconfirmed for Pakistan
The reports establish a show appearance, but do not establish whether or when the Lumin will be sold in Pakistan. HUM News English reported before the show on October 23, 2024, that Changan Pakistan had teased the car but had not confirmed if or when it would launch locally. HUM News English’s pre-show report
For a purchase decision, the missing details are the official Pakistan-market version and specification sheet, a local price, retail availability, and locally applicable charging information. The sources cited here do not establish current Pakistan retail availability or price.
