What CFMOTO revealed at EICMA 2025
CFMOTO presented the V4 SR-RR at EICMA 2025 as a prototype at the top of its SR range. The company described it as a new-generation superbike project focused on performance, reduced weight and improved aerodynamics. Its technical descriptions and performance figures refer to the prototype, not an independently tested or finalized production motorcycle.

Engine and claimed power
CFMOTO specifies a 90-degree V4 with 997 cc displacement and claims crankshaft output above 157 kW, or more than 210 hp. It also describes the engine’s power delivery as broad, linear and progressive. These are manufacturer-provided specifications and characterizations; the cited announcements do not provide an independent dyno test.

Weight figures use different bases
The EICMA announcement says curb weight is below 200 kg. It separately quotes a 0.86 kg-per-hp weight-to-power ratio based on dry weight with a racing exhaust kit. In its June 2026 announcement, CFMOTO described dry weight as around 180 kg. Curb weight, dry weight and dry weight with a racing exhaust kit are distinct bases, so these figures should not be treated as interchangeable or combined into a single settled weight.
What CFMOTO reported about the 315.82 km/h run
In a Chinese-language announcement dated June 15, 2026, CFMOTO said the V4 SR-RR reached 315.82 km/h at the Shangrao Automotive Proving Ground in Jiangxi Province. The release names riders Du Bang and Huang Shizhao and says the run was supervised and recorded by Chinese testing and notarial bodies. This is CFMOTO’s account of the run; the cited material is not an independent test report.

The announcement also attributes a statement to CFMOTO vice president Chen Zhiyong: “此次V4 SR-RR 的极速突破，源自CFMOTO长期深耕自研、以全球顶级赛事打磨技术的坚守。” In English, this may be rendered as: “The V4 SR-RR’s breakthrough in top speed stems from CFMOTO’s long-term commitment to independent development and refining technology through top-level global racing.” That English wording is a translation, not the original quotation.

Is the V4 SR-RR a production motorcycle?
The available CFMOTO UK information describes the V4 SR-RR as a prototype and says complete production specifications had not yet been released. The cited pages do not confirm that it is available to order, nor do they establish a retail price, launch timing, homologation status or sales markets. CFMOTO’s speed-run announcement is a development update, not confirmation of a retail rollout.

How to read the numbers
- More than 210 hp: CFMOTO’s claimed peak crankshaft output for the 997 cc prototype, not a published independent test result.
- 315.82 km/h: the speed CFMOTO reported for its June 2026 Shangrao proving-ground run; it is not, by itself, a like-for-like comparison with other superbikes.
- Weight: the global announcement’s below-200-kg figure is curb weight; its 0.86 kg-per-hp ratio uses dry weight with a racing exhaust kit; the later Chinese announcement says dry weight is around 180 kg.
- Production status: the cited UK information says full production specifications had not yet been released, and the cited sources do not establish price, launch timing or market availability.
Without a common independent test protocol, the reported top speed should not be used to declare the V4 SR-RR faster than a competing liter-class superbike. The available claims describe a prototype and a company-reported run, not a controlled comparison across production models.
