Those are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results, and details such as price and equipment vary by market.
What CFMOTO announced at EICMA 2025
In a global announcement dated 5 November 2025, CFMOTO described the 1000MT-X as a liter-class adventure motorcycle and the flagship of its MT range. In Australia’s range description it sits above the 800MT-X. CFMOTO also displayed a CRAFTED concept treatment at EICMA to demonstrate personalisation; the announcement does not establish CRAFTED as a separate production trim. CFMOTO’s launch and Australian product information describe a broad equipment package aimed at combining trail capability with road-distance comfort:
- Fully adjustable KYB suspension and Brembo brakes.
- A Bosch six-axis IMU, five riding modes, ABS and dynamic traction control; the Australian page also lists wheelie control.
- 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, as specified on the Australian page.
- An 8-inch touchscreen TFT, tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and quickshifter.
- Cruise control, heated grips and a heated seat, adjustable handlebars and windscreen.
- A skid plate, handguards and chain protection.

These are manufacturer-listed features, not independently verified equipment on every regional version. Compare the local specification sheet or confirm with a dealer before assuming a particular feature is standard.

Claimed range: what the figures mean
CFMOTO’s global launch material says the 22.5 L tank supports more than 450 km under “comprehensive riding conditions.” The Australian product page describes a target of more than 500 km and says the result depends on riding style and conditions. These are estimates from CFMOTO, not results from a published independent range test. Real distance between fill-ups will depend on use and conditions; riders planning remote routes should allow a suitable reserve rather than treating either figure as guaranteed.

Touring accessories and practical fitment
CFMOTO Australia lists a model-specific luggage kit with aluminium top and side cases, as well as an upper crash-bar set and radiator guard. These are useful items to investigate for touring or added protection, but the Australian listing does not establish availability or compatibility in other markets. Check model year and fitment with the local distributor before ordering accessories.

How to assess the 1000MT-X against other adventure bikes
The launch specifications describe a powerful, well-equipped adventure motorcycle, but they are not enough on their own to establish how it compares in real-world riding or ownership. A fair comparison with another large adventure-tourer should use the same kind of evidence for both motorcycles:

- Compare claimed power and torque separately from independent performance tests.
- Compare wet with wet or dry with dry mass; do not treat those measures as interchangeable.
- Check seat height, suspension travel, wheel sizes and tyre type against the routes and rider fit you care about.
- Distinguish tank capacity and manufacturer-estimated range from measured fuel consumption or tested range.
- Compare standard rider aids and touring equipment, then account for the cost of accessories needed for your use.
- For ownership, compare local price, warranty terms and dealer support in the same country.
CFMOTO’s Australian page describes a three-year factory warranty structure, with a further one-year extension potentially available if the bike is serviced exclusively by an authorised dealer and service history is retained. Verify the current terms with an Australian dealer; that warranty information should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
