They did not establish the vehicle’s specifications. CEER later revealed its EXOBOT flagship SUV with performance figures, but the sources do not explicitly confirm that the camouflaged prototype was identical in every respect to that revealed model.
What did the Ceer SUV spy shots show?
SEMA News described a CEER SUV prototype being tested at a facility in Europe. Its spy-shot coverage noted three visible design cues:
- Gullwing doors
- Aerodynamic shaping
- A steeply raked windscreen
These are observations from the photographs, not evidence of technical specifications or engineering performance. SEMA News’ page is displayed in its February 2026 issue, although the publication’s search listing dates the story January 8, 2026. The Drive also covered the prototype on January 7, 2026, and identified Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund as a funder; that funding description is The Drive’s reporting.

What was unknown when the prototype was spotted?
SEMA News reported that CEER had not released performance or specification details for the SUV at the time. The photos therefore did not establish its powertrain, output, acceleration, range, price or production configuration. In particular, the visible styling alone cannot verify what technology was under the camouflage.
How did CEER’s later EXOBOT reveal update the story?
On September 11, 2026, CEER announced that its first flagship electric sedan and SUV would premiere on September 21. At the reveal, the company named the flagship vehicles EXOBOT and described a planned portfolio of seven models by 2030, including mid-size and compact vehicles with different propulsion options.

CEER’s official announcement gives these figures for the revealed EXOBOT SUV First Edition:
- Tri-motor all-wheel drive
- 850 horsepower
- 1,000 Nm of torque
- 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds
Those are manufacturer-published specifications for the revealed First Edition. The sources do not explicitly establish that the January spy-shot vehicle was identical in every respect to the EXOBOT SUV shown in September, so these figures should not be attributed to the camouflaged prototype.

The spy coverage documents a CEER SUV prototype and visible exterior cues; the later company reveal establishes the EXOBOT flagship SUV’s name and First Edition performance claims. The available sources do not explicitly document the precise continuity between the photographed prototype and the revealed vehicle. The careful reading is that the photos may be considered part of the story of CEER’s SUV program, while the EXOBOT specifications belong specifically to the model CEER revealed.
