What the ECB-2300HR-1A commemorates
The watch marks the RA272’s victory at the Mexican Grand Prix on October 24, 1965. Casio describes the anniversary as 60 years since Honda’s first F1 victory. The design draws on the race car’s colors and details, rather than simply adding Honda branding to a standard watch.

How the RA272 appears in the design
- Bezel and dial: The bezel uses Championship White, associated with the RA272, while a red dial ring evokes the Hinomaru motif on the car’s body. Gold-toned “60” lettering marks the 60-minute position.
- Strap and loop: The band loop carries “Veni, Vidi, Vici” and the car’s number 11. Casio attributes the motto to Honda team leader Yoshio Nakamura and translates it as “I came, I saw, I conquered.” The strap artwork depicts the car’s 1.5-liter V12 engine.
- Countdown subdial: The inset at 9 o’clock references the RA272’s tachometer and functions as a countdown timer.
- Caseback and packaging: A Honda-designed anniversary logo is laser-engraved on the caseback, and the watch comes in special packaging.

Casio lists automatic time adjustment, easy watch setting, app access to approximately 300 world-time cities, stopwatch data transfer, time-and-place information, and a phone finder. On the watch itself, the listed functions include world time across 38 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 60-minute countdown timer, five daily alarms, double LED illumination, and a full auto-calendar through 2099.

A New Zealand Casio-branded retailer has listed the model, which is specific to that retailer and market.
