Case IH’s new all-electric Farmall is the Farmall 75C Electric, also called the Farmall Electric. It is a battery-electric light-utility tractor, not a diesel hybrid or a conventional Farmall with an electric accessory. Case IH announced it in November 2023, and the tractor subsequently appeared at Agritechnica, won a utility-tractor award, and showed up in selected regional dealer listings.

The important qualification is availability. As of August 11, 2026, the public evidence supports calling it an introduced production-intent machine with limited or market-specific dealer presence—not a tractor that is demonstrably orderable nationwide, with a published universal price and complete factory specification sheet.

The short version

The Farmall 75C Electric brings battery power, fast charging, automated functions, and lower-noise operation to Case IH’s long-running utility-tractor family. Case IH says it delivers performance comparable to diesel utility tractors, can charge from 10% to 80% in less than an hour with DC fast charging, and may cut operating costs by more than 50% compared with diesel.

Those last two cost and performance statements are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. The tractor’s real suitability depends on its workload: a machine doing light loader work and short stop-start jobs will have a very different energy requirement from one running a heavy PTO implement or demanding hydraulic equipment for hours.

What the Farmall 75C Electric is—and what it is not

The name can make the tractor sound like a minor variation of the diesel Farmall C range. It is more significant than that. Case IH describes the Farmall Electric as a tractor with an electric drive, instant torque, simplified power-delivery controls, sensing cameras, and additional automation. Its propulsion system is battery-electric rather than diesel-powered, and the available material does not describe it as a hybrid.

It should nevertheless be viewed as a utility tractor first. Unlike a passenger EV, its practical “range” is measured in working hours and task cycles rather than highway miles. Battery consumption can change sharply with terrain, implement, hydraulic demand, PTO load, speed, soil conditions, and stop-start operation.

The Farmall name also connects the project to one of agriculture’s oldest tractor identities. International Harvester introduced the first Farmall in 1923, and Case IH has continued using the name across conventional utility and specialty tractors. The electric model is therefore both a new powertrain program and a continuation of a century-old product family.

How the electric Farmall came to market

  1. December 9, 2022: CNH Industrial unveiled the New Holland T4 Electric Power, an all-electric light-utility tractor prototype with autonomous functions. CNH said the commercial version of the platform would also extend to Case IH.
  2. November 6, 2023: Case IH announced the Farmall 75C Electric and presented it as a European Agritechnica debut. The announcement emphasized electric drive, fast charging, automation, sensing, lower noise, and possible operating-cost savings.
  3. November 15, 2023: CNH reported that the Case IH Farmall 75C Electric won the Best Utility Tractor category in the Farm Machine 2024 awards at Agritechnica.
  4. 2024–2026: Regional dealer pages and brochures listed 2024 and 2025 Farmall Electric 75C units. These listings are evidence of cataloging or limited commercial circulation, but they do not establish production volume, a uniform model year across countries, or nationwide delivery.

CNH’s original platform announcement said commercial production of its first-generation battery-electric light vehicle was expected to begin at the end of 2023. That was a historical production expectation, not confirmation that the tractor entered every market on the same schedule or remains broadly orderable in 2026.

Performance and specifications: confirmed facts versus assumptions

Public information about the production Farmall 75C Electric remains incomplete. The most defensible specifications are divided between Farmall-specific claims, dealer-published information, and details released for the related New Holland prototype.

Specification or feature Publicly reported information How to interpret it
Powertrain Fully electric, battery-powered drive Confirmed by Case IH’s announcement.
DC charging 10% to 80% in less than one hour Case IH’s Farmall-specific claim. It does not establish the connector, charger power, or time to 100%.
Power 55 kW / 74 bhp Reported in a dealer listing for a 2025 Farmall Electric 75C; not confirmed as a definitive global factory specification.
Drive and speed 4×4 and 40 kph maximum forward speed Also reported by the dealer listing and not independently confirmed here for every configuration.
Operating time Approximately four hours in a German government agricultural document A useful market-status reference, not a universal runtime. Workload and conditions matter.
Noise Up to 90% quieter than previous models, according to Case IH A manufacturer claim; the comparison method and operating condition are not specified in the public announcement.
Operating cost More than 50% lower than diesel, according to Case IH A manufacturer estimate that depends on electricity, diesel, maintenance, financing, utilization, and duty cycle.

The number most likely to cause confusion is the New Holland prototype’s output. CNH described that platform as using an electric motor capable of up to 120 hp peak and 440 Nm of maximum torque, with four-wheel drive and a 40-kph maximum speed. It also said the battery could support up to a full day of operation depending on the mission.

Those figures provide useful context for the technology family, but they should not automatically be copied into a Farmall 75C Electric specification table. The related prototype and the Case IH production model are not necessarily identical in motor output, battery size, software, gearing, or implement capability.

Charging and battery endurance

Fast charging is central to the Farmall Electric proposition. Case IH says the battery can go from 10% to 80% capacity in under an hour using DC fast charging. That could make the tractor workable for operations with defined breaks between jobs, particularly where it returns to a known charging point several times a day.

It does not mean every farm will receive an 80% charge in the same time. Charging speed can depend on the charger, electrical supply, battery temperature, state of charge, installation, and the tractor’s charging limits. The public Farmall material reviewed does not provide a complete battery-specific charging specification, including battery capacity in kilowatt-hours, connector type, maximum input power, or installation requirements.

The related CNH platform announcement referred to approximately one hour to reach 100% with commercially available fast-charging systems. That statement belongs to the New Holland prototype context. The Farmall-specific 10-to-80% claim is the safer number to use for this tractor.

Published operating-time references also need careful handling. A German government agricultural document lists the Farmall 75C Electric at approximately four hours of operation and identifies automation and DC fast charging. CNH’s earlier platform material described up to a full day depending on the mission profile. These statements are not necessarily contradictory: “four hours” may describe a particular operating assumption, while “up to a full day” is conditional on the work pattern and energy demand.

Before buying, a farm should request a duty-cycle estimate based on its actual work rather than relying on a headline runtime. Ask the dealer to model:

  • Loader work, transport, tillage, mowing, spraying, or other intended tasks;
  • PTO and hydraulic demand for each implement;
  • Hours of active work versus idling, movement, and waiting;
  • Terrain, ambient temperature, and expected payload;
  • Charging opportunities between shifts; and
  • Whether the local electrical service can support the required DC charger.

Autonomy, safety, and digital functions

Case IH describes the Farmall Electric as having additional autonomous functionalities, a Safety Mode, and cameras that provide 360-degree sensing for visibility and safety assistance. These features are potentially valuable around buildings, yards, livestock areas, and other places where quiet operation and awareness of nearby objects matter.

CNH’s related electric-tractor platform announcement disclosed a broader technology set that included:

  • Smartphone activation;
  • Shadow Follow Me operation;
  • Obstacle detection and avoidance;
  • Telematics and offboard monitoring;
  • Auto guidance;
  • Fleet task assignment;
  • Implement recognition; and
  • Remote monitoring of performance and battery state.

These capabilities were described for the CNH electric-tractor platform. They should not be treated as proof that every Farmall 75C Electric configuration includes every function as standard equipment. Buyers should ask which features are installed, which require optional hardware or software, and which are legally permitted in their location.

Most importantly, “autonomous functions” does not mean unrestricted driverless operation. The available material supports a description involving assisted, automated, remotely monitored, or autonomous features. It does not establish unsupervised self-driving operation in every field, road environment, weather condition, or jurisdiction. An operator may still be required, and local safety rules remain decisive.

Implements and likely work applications

One advantage of the CNH platform approach is that it was designed around familiar utility-tractor workflows. CNH said the electric tractor could operate traditional mechanical, hydraulic, and PTO implements. The platform could also provide electrical outlets for jobs such as welding and drilling, act as a backup generator, and supply energy to electric implements.

That suggests the Farmall Electric is intended to work with existing farm practices rather than require an entirely new ecosystem. However, compatibility is not the same as unlimited capability. A complete, current Farmall 75C Electric factory data sheet was not located for PTO horsepower, hydraulic flow, lift capacity, drawbar performance, implement limits, or the precise output available to external electrical tools.

Those figures are critical if the tractor will run a mower, baler, tiller, compressor, auger, or other high-demand attachment. Request the production machine’s PTO output, hydraulic pressure and flow, three-point hitch capacity, drawbar rating, operating weight, and approved implement list before treating it as a replacement for a diesel tractor.

Case IH identifies several target markets:

  • Agriculture: mixed utility work, yard duties, livestock operations, and tasks where low noise or local emissions reduction is valuable.
  • Municipal operations: grounds maintenance, parks, and other stop-start work near homes or public spaces.
  • Airports: quieter equipment operation in controlled areas, subject to airport requirements and charging logistics.
  • Light forestry: lower-noise work and reduced local emissions where the machine’s power and endurance are sufficient.

The possible advantages in these settings are application-based inferences from the manufacturer’s stated use cases, not independent performance measurements. Electric drive may be particularly attractive for indoor or noise-sensitive work, but heavy continuous loads still need to be validated against battery endurance and charging access.

Potential benefits over a diesel utility tractor

Instant torque and controllability

Case IH says the electric drive provides instant torque and controls intended to make power delivery easier than a mechanical tractor setup. In practical terms, that could help with low-speed maneuvering and precise stop-start tasks. It should not be interpreted as proof that the tractor outpulls a diesel model with a similar advertised power rating.

Lower noise

Case IH claims noise reduction of up to 90% compared with previous models. Lower noise could improve operator comfort and make work less disruptive around homes, livestock, public facilities, or indoor buildings. The exact benefit will depend on whether the comparison includes hydraulic pumps, cooling systems, implements, and other operating noises.

Maintenance and operating costs

Battery-electric propulsion removes or reduces some diesel powertrain maintenance requirements. Case IH says reduced wear and lower maintenance needs could help reduce operating costs by more than 50% versus diesel. That is not a guaranteed owner result. Electricity prices, charger installation, battery depreciation, financing, insurance, utilization, replacement parts, and the local diesel price can change the calculation substantially.

Availability, pricing, and the buying reality in 2026

The Farmall 75C Electric is not merely a concept. Case IH announced it, displayed it at Agritechnica, and CNH reported its Best Utility Tractor award. Dealer pages later listed Farmall Electric 75C units or brochures for 2024 and 2025, usually with pricing available only by inquiry.

That evidence is not enough to say the tractor is widely available. The current U.S. Case IH tractor catalog reviewed for this research prominently features conventional Farmall C, A, M, N, CL, and other ranges, without a comparable public Farmall Electric page containing complete specifications and pricing. Regional product availability can differ significantly, and a dealer listing does not prove that a machine is in stock, orderable, homologated, or supported throughout an entire country.

A useful Farmall history connection

What remains unknown

The following details should be treated as open questions until Case IH supplies a current factory specification sheet or a dealer provides the production technical package:

  • Battery capacity in kWh;
  • Continuous and peak motor output;
  • PTO horsepower;
  • Hydraulic flow, pressure, and lift capacity;
  • Verified runtime under named workloads;
  • Curb weight, dimensions, and tire configurations;
  • Charging connector and maximum input power;
  • Battery warranty and expected service life;
  • Service intervals and software-support policy;
  • Purchase price, financing, and incentives;
  • U.S. or other market-specific homologation;
  • Dealer coverage and technician support; and
  • Production volume.

These are not minor omissions. They determine whether the tractor can replace a particular diesel machine and whether its energy savings outweigh its acquisition and infrastructure costs.

Source and claim guide

The Farmall-specific claims in this article come primarily from Case IH’s November 6, 2023 announcement. CNH Industrial’s December 9, 2022 New Holland T4 Electric Power announcement supplies platform context, including the prototype’s 120-hp peak motor, 440 Nm torque, electric outlets, implement compatibility, and autonomy features. Those platform figures are deliberately not presented as final Farmall specifications.

The award history comes from CNH’s November 15, 2023 report. Dealer listings provide the 55-kW/74-bhp, 4×4, and 40-kph listing details and evidence of regional catalog presence. A German government agricultural document supplies the approximately four-hour operating reference and series-readiness classification. None of those sources constitutes an independent field test or a standardized total-cost-of-ownership study.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Case IH Farmall 75C Electric a real production tractor?

It is more than a concept: Case IH announced it in 2023, displayed it at Agritechnica, and dealer pages later listed 2024 and 2025 units or brochures. However, the available evidence does not prove broad nationwide availability, production volume, or current orderability in every Case IH market.

How long does the Farmall 75C Electric run on a charge?

A German agricultural document lists approximately four hours, while CNH described the related electric-tractor platform as capable of up to a full day depending on the mission. These are not universal Farmall runtime ratings. Actual endurance depends on the implement, PTO and hydraulic load, terrain, temperature, speed, and duty cycle.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How quickly can the electric Farmall charge?

Case IH says DC fast charging can take the battery from 10% to 80% in less than one hour. The public Farmall material reviewed does not confirm the production tractor’s battery capacity, connector, maximum charging power, or time to a full charge.

Does it drive itself?

The tractor has additional autonomous or automated functions, Safety Mode, and 360-degree sensing cameras. CNH also described platform features such as auto guidance, obstacle detection, telematics, and Shadow Follow Me. That does not establish unrestricted, unsupervised driverless operation in every environment or jurisdiction.

How much does the Case IH Farmall 75C Electric cost?

A standardized public price was not identified. Regional dealer listings generally use “call for price,” so buyers must confirm price, incentives, financing, delivery, charger installation, and local support with an authorized Case IH dealer.

The Bottom Line

The Case IH Farmall 75C Electric is a meaningful battery-electric utility-tractor program, backed by a public announcement, an Agritechnica appearance, an industry award, and selected dealer listings. Its strongest potential advantages are quiet operation, instant electric torque, reduced local emissions, fast 10-to-80% charging, and lower maintenance complexity.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

But the practical buying case is not settled by the headline claims. Battery capacity, workload-specific runtime, PTO and hydraulic capability, warranty, charger requirements, price, and market availability still need to be confirmed for the buyer’s region and intended jobs. Treat it as a promising electric utility tractor with real market signals—not as a fully documented, universally available diesel replacement.
