One car reports the diagonal of its central touchscreen, another reports the total width of a glass panel that houses several screens, and a third reports a combined figure for every available display. Placing those numbers in one order would make the list look more precise than it is. What follows compares five current US-market models using the figures their manufacturers publish, and explains how to read each one.
Why the numbers can’t be ranked directly
Four different measures appear in manufacturer materials for large dashboard displays:
- Single central touchscreen diagonal. The most common figure, and the one most readers mean by “screen size.”
- Separate display diagonals. Each instrument cluster, center screen, and passenger screen is listed on its own.
- Dashboard span or curved glass width. The overall width of a glass band, which can house more than one display. It is a panel measurement, not a screen diagonal.
- Combined available display size. A sum of every screen a buyer can add, often including rear-seat units that are optional.
A figure from one of these categories is not comparable with a figure from another. The sections below keep each claim on its own terms, and the table at the end sets the five models side by side without converting them into a single score.
The five models, measured on their own terms
Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 4MATIC sedan (2026, US)
Mercedes-Benz USA lists the MBUX Hyperscreen with three displays: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch central OLED touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch OLED display for the front passenger. The company describes these as sitting beneath a 56-inch curved glass instrument panel and calls the assembly the largest display it has created for a production vehicle. The 56-inch figure describes the full glass band. The largest single screen in the set is the 17.7-inch central unit.

Cadillac Escalade
Cadillac’s range page describes a 55-inch diagonal front display that runs pillar to pillar. Because this is a single display described by its diagonal, it is the closest match to a “single screen” figure among the five models. The range page we checked does not make the model-year applicability of that figure fully clear, so confirm the 55-inch specification against Cadillac’s current configurator or a dealer before relying on it for a specific vehicle.
Rear-seat entertainment is a separate, optional system. Cadillac’s 2025 Escalade brochure lists two independent 12.6-inch rear displays as available equipment. These are not part of the 55-inch front figure and are not standard on every trim.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Select (2026, US)
Ford lists a standard 15.5-inch LCD center touchscreen with capacitive touch and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The 15.5-inch number is the one to use when comparing center infotainment screens. The 10.2-inch cluster is a second display and should not be added to it.
Ram 1500 (2025)
Ram advertises “over 24-inches Of Combined Available Touchscreen Displays” and says the truck offers more available touchscreen space than its closest class competitor. This is Ram’s own marketing claim about the sum of optional screens. Ram does not present it as the size of any one display, and the figure does not list each screen’s diagonal. It cannot be placed beside a single-screen diagonal without misrepresenting it.

Toyota Tundra (2025)
Toyota identifies a 14-inch audio multimedia touchscreen. That screen is available, not standard across all trims, so a Tundra’s screen size depends on the package it was ordered with.

How to compare screens on your own
- Decide which measure matters to you: the center touchscreen, the whole dashboard, or the combined total.
- Compare only figures from the same category. Two center-screen diagonals can be compared; a band width and a diagonal cannot.
- Check whether the screen is standard or part of a package. Toyota and Ram both describe their larger displays as available, and Ram’s total depends entirely on which options are chosen.
- Confirm the model year and trim. Specifications change between years and between trim levels, so the number on a manufacturer’s general page may not apply to the vehicle you are considering.
- Read the figure’s owner. Manufacturer claims such as “largest display” and “more than the closest competitor” are marketing statements and have not been measured against a shared standard.
What this comparison shows
Among these five models, the Cadillac Escalade’s 55-inch front display is the largest single screen described by its diagonal, while the Mercedes-Benz EQS has the widest glass band at 56 inches and the largest single center touchscreen at 17.7 inches. The Mach-E’s 15.5-inch center screen is smaller than both. Ram’s 24-plus-inch figure and Toyota’s 14-inch screen describe different things again. A full ten-car ranking would need one consistent metric applied to the same model year and trim for each vehicle, and none of the published figures here meet that standard on their own. Until a single measure is applied across a full set of models, the most accurate answer is the category comparison above.

If you are shopping, start with the screen you will use most, usually the center touchscreen, and confirm its size on the exact trim you plan to buy.
