Yes. Dodge’s March 24, 2026 announcement says the 2026 Durango R/T 392 Launch Edition is open for orders in all 50 states and that the SRT Hellcat is available nationwide. That updates the phased state-by-state rollout reported in 2025. The announcement confirms nationwide availability, but does not identify the regulatory documents or technical changes behind it.
Can you buy a 2026 Dodge Durango 392 or Hellcat in California and other CARB states?
Dodge says both models are now available nationwide, including California and other states that follow California emissions standards. The manufacturer’s March 24, 2026 release says the R/T 392 Launch Edition is “Now open for orders in all 50 states” and separately describes the SRT Hellcat as available in all 50 states. Confirm current ordering and inventory with a Dodge dealer, since the announcement does not guarantee that a particular configuration is immediately in stock.
The release establishes Dodge’s nationwide availability statement. It does not cite the underlying CARB Executive Orders or certification records, or explain what regulatory action or technical change enabled the expanded availability. It would be speculative to attribute the change to a specific emissions modification or approval document.
How the Durango’s state availability changed
The 2026 announcement replaces a more limited rollout described in 2025. In September of that year, Dodge said the HEMI-powered R/T 392 and SRT Hellcat were available in non-CARB states while it evaluated broader availability. Kelley Blue Book reported on November 11, 2025, that Dodge said the Hellcat had opened for orders in ten additional CARB states in October.

In that November report, Dodge said sales remained prohibited in seven states, down from 17 in August, and anticipated opening orders in all 50 states by year-end 2025. Those figures describe the situation at the time; Dodge’s March 2026 announcement is the newer statement of availability.

Dodge also gives the R/T 392 Launch Edition an NHRA-certified 12.9-second quarter-mile claim. The R/T 392 and Hellcat have standard AWD, and Dodge lists up to 8,700 lb of available towing when properly equipped; that maximum is configuration-dependent, not a rating for every vehicle. The Premium version adds cabin and equipment features, so compare the actual build sheet when evaluating its price.
