Ford lists a 700-hp supercharger kit for certain 5.0L F-150s, but its current price, installed cost and detailed fitment are not established here. Ford’s factory-rated high-power option, the 2026 F-150 Raptor R, is rated at 720 hp and starts at $79,005. The proposed 705-hp, under-$45,000 new-truck combination is therefore not verified.
What the numbers actually show
| F-150 path | Published output | Price evidence | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 F-150 with 5.0L V8 | 400 hp | Not stated in the cited engine specification | Ford’s listed standard engine output for the 2026 F-150. Ford 2026 F-150 |
| 5.0L F-150 plus Ford Performance kit M-6066-F150SCA | 700 hp and 590 lb-ft | Kit price and installed build cost not stated | Ford Performance’s manufacturer claim for the kit listing, which covers 2021–2026 5.0L F-150s. It is not an independent test and does not establish 705 hp. Ford Performance supercharger kit |
| 2026 F-150 Raptor R | 720 hp and 640 lb-ft | $79,005 starting MSRP for the Raptor model page | Ford’s model-year specification and listed starting MSRP; the MSRP is not a complete transaction quote. Ford 2026 F-150 Raptor |
The comparison makes the gap clear: the factory 5.0L starts at 400 hp, while Ford Performance lists a 700-hp kit for specified 5.0L trucks. The Raptor R is the documented factory 720-hp route, but its listed starting MSRP is already far beyond $45,000. None of these figures establishes the price of a complete new truck and supercharger build under that budget.
Can you build a 700-hp F-150 for under $45,000?
The kit listing alone cannot answer that. A realistic total would need to account for the price of the new truck, the supercharger kit, installation and any required supporting parts or work. The reviewed Ford Performance listing does not state the current kit price, detailed configuration constraints, labor cost or complete installed price. Without those inputs, a claim that the finished truck costs less than $45,000 would be guesswork.
Fitment also needs to be confirmed for the exact truck. Ford Performance identifies M-6066-F150SCA for 2021–2026 F-150 models with the 5.0L V8; that broad listing does not, by itself, settle compatibility for every cab, drivetrain, trim or other configuration. Check with Ford Performance or a qualified installer before buying or treating a particular new truck as compatible.

Why the headline says 705 hp—and why Ford’s listing says 700
Ford Performance’s listed output for M-6066-F150SCA is 700 hp and 590 lb-ft, not 705 hp. The evidence here provides no independent measurement establishing 705 hp for this build. It is more accurate to describe the product as a manufacturer-rated 700-hp kit than to promise a 705-hp result.
Ford’s 2025 Raptor R project announcement describes a different setup: a 3.0L Whipple supercharger on a project truck, raising its stated output from 720 hp to over 900 hp. Ford identifies that vehicle as a demonstration project, not a truck for sale. It does not establish a retail kit or a purchasable complete build under $45,000. Ford’s Raptor R project announcement

What to verify before committing to a build
- Truck price: Get a current quote for the exact new F-150 configuration; a model-page starting MSRP is not a complete transaction price.
- Kit price and fitment: Confirm the current price and written compatibility for the exact 5.0L truck, including its model year and configuration.
- Installed total: Ask the installer for a complete quote covering labor and any required supporting modifications, rather than adding an unverified kit price to a base-truck figure.
- Warranty terms: Ask Ford Performance, the selling dealer and the installer what warranty applies to the parts and work, and how the modification may affect coverage. The cited product listing does not resolve warranty consequences for every installation.
- Power claim: Confirm whether a quoted output is a manufacturer rating or a measured result, and what parts and conditions it assumes.
What is the closest substantiated answer?
A 5.0L F-150 paired with Ford Performance kit M-6066-F150SCA is the documented path in this material to a manufacturer-listed 700 hp. But the available figures do not prove a brand-new completed build for less than $45,000, nor do they substantiate 705 hp. For a factory-rated 720 hp, Ford lists the 2026 Raptor R at a $79,005 starting MSRP.
