Where the QJMotor makes its case
Engine output on paper
QJMotor’s Mexico listing gives the SRV 550 ST 554 cc, 47 hp and 51.0 Nm. Those listed peak figures exceed the 2025 Japan-market Rebel 500 figures of 46 PS and 43 Nm, but this is not a controlled, same-market comparison: the models and units differ, and peak specifications alone do not establish acceleration, usable power, or which bike feels stronger on the road. Honda’s 2026 US page identifies the Rebel’s 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin but does not provide a directly comparable horsepower and torque pair there.

Belt versus chain
The Mexico SRV 550 ST listing describes belt transmission, while Honda’s US Rebel 500 specification lists an O-ring-sealed chain. Riders may weigh those drive types differently for their own maintenance preferences, but the supplied manufacturer specifications do not establish comparative service costs or component life. Check the precise model: QJMotor France lists chain final drive for its SRV 550, demonstrating that the name alone does not guarantee the same setup everywhere.
Fuel capacity is not range
The Mexico SRV 550 ST’s stated 16 L capacity is larger than the US Rebel’s 3.0 US gallons (about 11.4 L). Honda’s Japan-market Rebel figure is 11 L. Tank volume does not tell you how far either motorcycle travels per fill; the cited specifications do not provide a comparable fuel-economy test.

QJMotor’s MXN 133,200 figure is a 2026 cash price in Mexico; Honda’s US$6,799 is the 2026 US base MSRP, and Honda shows US$600 destination separately. They are different currencies and markets, with no common treatment here for exchange rates, taxes, registration or on-road fees. They cannot establish which motorcycle is less expensive for a buyer in either country. Ask local dealers for an out-the-door quote on the exact trim and model year.
What these specifications cannot prove
Manufacturer pages establish listed specifications and advertised prices, not a road-test verdict or a sales ranking. No comparable market-share or sales figures establish that the Rebel 500 dominates a defined market, and no same-market sales or ownership evidence establishes that the SRV 550 ST is displacing it.
