Start with Logitech’s G29 product and compatibility information and its game compatibility list. Logitech lists Gran Turismo 7 as an example of a supported game. Because support is title-specific and game lists can change, check the game publisher’s own support information as well.

- Check whether the game supports the controls you plan to use, especially an optional shifter.
What you need to connect the wheel
Logitech describes the G29 as a wired USB wheel that also requires its power adapter. Logitech’s US product listing identifies this as the PlayStation 5/PS4/PC version and lists the wheel, pedals, power adapter, and user documentation in the box. The G29’s manufacturer specifications include a maximum 900-degree wheel rotation and dual-motor force feedback; these are specifications, not independent performance-test results.
Make sure you have the PlayStation version of the G29. Logitech identifies the G920 as its Xbox model, so do not confuse the two when choosing a wheel.

How to set up the G29 on PS5
Logitech’s setup article says to select the platform before connecting the wheel, but its documented switch positions cover PS4, PS3, and PC—not PS5 specifically. It does not establish a PS5-specific switch position, so do not treat the PS4 instruction as an explicit PS5 instruction.
- Check the game’s wheel-support information before connecting the wheel.
- Connect the G29 to the PS5 by USB and connect its power adapter, following the product documentation.
- For the mode switch and any game-specific configuration, follow the current instructions from Logitech and the game publisher. Logitech’s cited setup guidance does not give a PS5-specific switch position.
Does the optional Driving Force Shifter work?
The Driving Force Shifter is an optional G29 accessory, and support depends on both the platform and the game. Check the game’s compatibility information for shifter support rather than assuming that wheel support includes every accessory. Logitech states that the shifter does not function on PS3; that limitation is specific to PS3 and should not be applied to PS5.
