National AgrAbility identifies two configurations: the Para edition, with mechanical hand controls, and the Quad edition, with joystick controls. The listing also describes the vehicle as customizable. Those labels indicate different control approaches, not a guarantee of fit for any particular rider; an individual’s access, positioning, and ability to operate a surviving vehicle would need to be assessed.

The size and weight are meaningful practical considerations. A vehicle about 75 in long and weighing 1,250 lb requires a transport and loading plan suited to that footprint and mass; the archived figures alone do not show that it is easy to transport.
Could it travel beyond paved paths?
Historical descriptions present the Ripchair as intended for rugged outdoor ground, including forest floors, sand, rocks, snow, and small streams. The drawing adds marshland and ice with track picks to its claims. The Offroader’s historical article reports some differing specifications: 1,200 lb vehicle weight, a 29 hp engine, and 10 in of ground clearance. It says an electronic governor limited speed to 10 mph while a nominal speed of 17 mph was possible, and also mentions 1,000 lb of drawbar pull, a snowplow attachment, optional track picks for ice, and a 5,000 lb winch. These are secondary figures, and the weight and engine rating differ from the archived drawing; the two speed figures describe different conditions and should not be treated as one speed rating.
