In GM’s Q3 2026 U.S. deliveries table, the four Cadillac electric models listed in the table total 12,358 deliveries for the quarter. Chevrolet Equinox EV recorded 1,905. The Cadillac group therefore outsold the Equinox EV by 10,453 units. That gap compares four Cadillac models with one Chevrolet model, and it is not a like-for-like model comparison. Taken individually, three of the four Cadillac EVs outsold the Equinox EV, while the ESCALADE IQ/IQL EV did not.
Model-by-model Q3 2026 numbers
The figures below are U.S. deliveries for July through September 2026, as shown in GM’s model-level table. The Cadillac total is the sum of the four Cadillac rows; the table does not print a combined Cadillac EV subtotal.
| Model | Q3 2026 U.S. deliveries | Difference from Chevrolet Equinox EV (1,905) |
|---|---|---|
| Cadillac ESCALADE IQ/IQL EV | 1,604 | 301 fewer |
| Cadillac LYRIQ | 3,617 | 1,712 more |
| Cadillac OPTIQ | 4,550 | 2,645 more |
| Cadillac VISTIQ | 2,587 | 682 more |
| Cadillac EV total (sum of four rows) | 12,358 | 10,453 more |
| Chevrolet Equinox EV | 1,905 | Not applicable |
How to read the Cadillac total
The 10,453-unit gap is a group-versus-single-model figure. It shows that Cadillac’s four electric nameplates together moved far more vehicles than the Equinox EV did in the same quarter. It does not mean any one Cadillac model beat the Equinox EV by that margin. The strongest single Cadillac result in the table is the OPTIQ, at 4,550, which is 2,645 units ahead of the Equinox EV.
The ESCALADE IQ/IQL EV is the exception. At 1,604 units, it sat 301 below the Equinox EV. Any headline that says every Cadillac EV outsold the Equinox EV would misstate the table.

What the comparison covers and what it leaves out
- Geography: The table reports U.S. deliveries only. It is not a global sales figure, and it should not be extended to other markets.
- Measure: These are deliveries as GM reports them, not retail registrations or production volumes.
- Period: The figures are for Q3 2026 alone. The same table also carries prior-year and January–September year-to-date columns. Those are separate periods and should not be mixed into the quarterly numbers above.
- Causes: The table shows counts, not reasons. It does not explain whether pricing, incentives, inventory, demand or product timing drove the results, and this article does not attribute them to any of those factors.
When the figures were published
GM’s quarterly results page did not yet give a confirmed date for the Q3 2026 earnings release. A separate investor event listing gives October 20, 2026 as the planned date for the financial results release. Neither schedule page establishes when the deliveries table itself was posted, so readers who need the exact publication timestamp should check GM’s newsroom or investor relations pages directly.
Bottom line for readers
The question “Did Cadillac’s EVs outsell the Chevy Equinox EV?” has a clear answer at the group level: yes, by 10,453 U.S. deliveries in Q3 2026, when all four Cadillac EV rows are added together. At the individual-model level, the answer is mixed, because the ESCALADE IQ/IQL EV trailed the Equinox EV.

Both figures are GM-reported U.S. deliveries for the same quarter, but they compare different scopes. Keep the four-model total and the single-model comparison separate when quoting them.
