As a dated example, Kelley Blue Book’s 2026 page snapshot for a 2020 CT5 estimates a $21,900 resale value and a $16,700 trade-in value, and reports $5,203 (19%) of depreciation over the preceding three years. Those are estimates, not guaranteed offers or universal transaction prices.
What does “resale value” mean for a CT5?
It depends on the transaction you have in mind. A private-party estimate concerns a sale directly to another person; a trade-in estimate concerns what a dealer might allow for the car; a retail asking or purchase price is a different figure again. Do not treat these values as interchangeable.
For a concrete reference, KBB’s 2020 CT5 depreciation page snapshot, accessed October 4, 2026, reports a $21,900 resale estimate and a $16,700 trade-in estimate. The same page says the CT5 depreciated $5,203, or 19%, over the prior three years. KBB notes that estimates vary with condition and mileage. KBB’s 2020 CT5 depreciation page
How much are 2020 CT5 trims estimated to be worth?
A separate KBB overview page lists different values by trim, illustrating why a model-wide number can mislead. Its values are stated as valid through September 10, 2026:
#1 Best Overall
| Valuation type | KBB estimate range across listed 2020 trims |
|---|---|
| Private-party | $21,800–$31,800 |
| Trade-in | $17,650–$28,300 |
These figures come from a different KBB page representation than the depreciation example above; they should not be combined as though they were generated in one identical valuation run. The page lists Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and V-Series, and cautions that values vary with mileage, condition, location and other factors. KBB’s 2020 CT5 value page
How much has a CT5 depreciated?
2020 CT5 example
KBB’s depreciation page estimates $5,203, or 19%, in depreciation over the three years preceding its 2026 snapshot. This is a provider estimate for its stated valuation context, not a measured national average of completed sales.

2021 Luxury Sedan 4D example
KBB’s 2026 page snapshot gives a 2021 CT5 Luxury Sedan 4D starting value of $23,300 against a new starting MSRP of $38,190, and reports $8,309 or 27% depreciation over three years. Keep this specific year and trim context attached to the figures; they should not be generalized to other CT5s. KBB’s 2021 CT5 value page
Another provider’s general estimate
iSeeCars’ 2026 general CT5 resale page estimates 21.1% depreciation after three years and a $38,823 resale value. Its vehicle assumptions differ from KBB’s 2020 example, so the figures are not directly comparable and do not describe the same individual car. iSeeCars CT5 resale value and depreciation

Why valuation sites show different numbers
Providers use different inputs, valuation types and models. KBB says its depreciation estimates compare private-party values for similar vehicles over time and use Manheim auction forecasts against current and projected KBB private-party and trade-in values. That describes KBB’s methodology; it is not independent validation of how accurately the estimates predict future prices. KBB’s methodology and 2020 CT5 estimates
iSeeCars says its model accounts for automaker and vehicle-segment factors. CarEdge describes its calculator as based on historical data and assumes average condition and a specified annual mileage. Different assumptions make a simple provider-versus-provider ranking unhelpful unless the comparisons match. iSeeCars CT5 resale methodology CarEdge CT5 depreciation calculator

- Transaction type: compare private-party with private-party or trade-in with trade-in, rather than retail listings.
- Vehicle identity: match model year, trim, engine or drivetrain, options and history.
- Condition and mileage: check whether the provider’s assumptions resemble the actual car.
- Place and date: note whether a value is national or local and when the estimate applies.
- Evidence type: distinguish a calculator estimate from a dealer offer or a completed sale.
How to estimate what your own CT5 is worth
- Identify the car: record model year, exact trim, engine or drivetrain, factory options and vehicle history.
- Describe its current state: gather odometer mileage and an honest account of condition, including damage or needed repairs.
- Choose the transaction: decide whether you need a private-sale estimate, a trade-in estimate or a retail comparison.
- Compare current estimates on matching inputs: use the same vehicle details, location and valuation type across providers. An estimator is only as useful as the assumptions entered.
- Get an individualized value before deciding: request a VIN-specific appraisal or dealer offer. A general estimate is not a binding purchase offer.
Edmunds also maintains a 2020 CT5 appraisal-value page, but a figure should be read with its own inputs and valuation type rather than substituted for the KBB estimates above. Edmunds 2020 CT5 appraisal value
