BYD and its Pakistan partner Mega Motor Company launched the Shark 6 plug-in hybrid pickup in Karachi on 25 July 2025. Its launch price was PKR 19,950,000 for the Premium variant. BYD Pakistan’s product page also displayed PKR 19,950,000 when checked in 2026; confirm the listing and terms with BYD before making a purchase decision.
BYD Shark 6 launch date and Pakistan partner
The Shark 6 was launched in Karachi on 25 July 2025 by BYD and Mega Motor Company. CnEVPost reported the local rollout, while HUBCO’s investor presentation also records a July 2025 launch. CnEVPost’s launch report and HUBCO’s investor presentation hosted by the Pakistan Stock Exchange provide the company and market context.
HUBCO identifies Mega Motor Company as part of its electric-mobility portfolio and reports service and network development. Its presentation describes a Gharo CKD assembly plant with planned annual capacity of 25,000 units, which was under construction at the time of that presentation. This is a stated plan, not evidence of completed construction or actual production capacity today.
BYD Shark 6 price in Pakistan and booking amount
The launch price reported in 2025 was PKR 19,950,000 for the single Premium variant. Business Recorder and CnEVPost reported the launch price; Business Recorder’s launch coverage and CnEVPost’s report describe the announcement. BYD Pakistan’s product page displayed the same price when checked in 2026. Because listed prices and availability can change, treat that as a page check rather than a guaranteed current offer. PakWheels reported a PKR 3.95 million booking amount during the launch period. That figure is historical reporting, not confirmation of the current booking amount, payment schedule, delivery estimate or stock. Ask an authorized BYD contact to confirm the applicable terms before paying. PakWheels’ launch-period report gives the reported amount.

These are figures published by BYD Pakistan, not independent test results. BYD says actual performance can vary with driving behaviour, the environment and other influences. The 100 km electric-range figure is specifically tied to NEDC; it should not be read as a guaranteed distance in everyday driving. How to interpret the range and performance claims
The advertised combined range of up to 800 km and electric range of 100 km answer different questions: the former is a combined-use claim for the PHEV, while the latter is an electric-only figure under the NEDC cycle. Neither is an independently verified real-world result in the cited reporting. Actual distance will depend on conditions and use, as BYD’s performance disclaimer notes.

Do not substitute numbers from BYD’s global brochure for Pakistan-market specifications. The global brochure lists, among other figures, 321 kW maximum power and dimensions of 5,457 × 1,971 × 1,925 mm. Those figures may describe a different regional configuration and are not a replacement for a Pakistan-market specification sheet. BYD’s global Shark brochure is distinct from the Pakistan listing.
What to confirm before booking
- Ask BYD or Mega Motor Company for the current Premium price, booking amount, payment milestones and written delivery estimate.
- Confirm vehicle availability and the terms attached to the specific booking, rather than relying on launch-period reporting.
- Request the Pakistan-market specification and warranty details for the vehicle being offered; do not assume the global brochure represents the local configuration.
- Ask which authorized service locations can support you and whether the stated towing and other feature specifications apply to the exact vehicle offered.
What BYD and HUBCO said about the launch
At the launch event, HUBCO CEO Kamran Kamal said: “To empower the customers with accessible and practical commutes, PHEVs like the BYD Shark 6 offer added convenience and peace of mind, even for long-distance journeys.” This was a company executive’s statement at launch, not an independent assessment of the vehicle.
