BYD’s China-market product page lists the battery-electric Haibao 07 EV (海豹07EV), advertises a 705 km CLTC range and describes ultra-fast charging. But the page does not substantiate the often-repeated claim that it will launch in early August or cost 179,800–249,800 yuan. Those dates and prices should not be treated as confirmed from the available official information.
Is the BYD Haibao 07 EV launching in early August?
BYD’s current China-market Haibao 07 EV product page presents the car with an “order now” call to action, but the retrieved page does not give a dated launch announcement or delivery schedule. It therefore confirms that BYD is listing the model, not that an early-August release date is verified. The page was accessed on October 7, 2026; it does not establish when orders or deliveries began.
How much does the Haibao 07 EV cost?
The retrieved BYD product page does not state a price, so the 179,800–249,800 yuan range in some headline claims cannot be confirmed from that source. Buyers should check a current, dated BYD China price list or configuration page before relying on a price or comparing trims.
Do not use the similarly named Seal 07 DM-i’s listed prices as a substitute. BYD’s vehicle listing identifies the Seal 07 DM-i as a separate plug-in hybrid; those prices do not establish the battery-electric Haibao 07 EV’s price.

What range and charging performance does BYD claim?
BYD advertises 705 km of range under the CLTC test cycle. That is a manufacturer-published figure, not an independent road-test result, and it should not be read as a guaranteed distance in every driving condition.
The same product page describes flash charging as taking five minutes to charge and nine minutes to reach full charge, with three additional minutes required at minus 30°C. These are BYD’s charging claims; the retrieved information does not specify a charging starting percentage or provide independent test conditions, so the figures should not be treated as a universal charge-time guarantee.
