The Bugatti Tourbillon’s V16 is rated at 1,000 hp at 9,000 rpm; the car’s full hybrid system is rated at 1,800 hp. The distinction matters: the headline system figure includes 800 hp from three electric motors, rather than coming from the engine alone.
How much power does the Tourbillon make?
Bugatti rates the naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 at 1,000 hp at 9,000 rpm and 900 Nm of torque. It rates the three electric motors together at 800 hp, for a combined system output of 1,800 hp. What makes the V16 unusual?
The Tourbillon uses an all-new 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engineered with Cosworth. Bugatti describes it as the first production car to feature a naturally aspirated V16. Cosworth separately identifies the displacement as 8.35 liters and notes the engine’s 9,000-rpm capability; the small displacement difference reflects the figures used by the respective companies. Unlike a turbocharged engine, this V16 relies on natural aspiration rather than exhaust-driven turbochargers. Its 9,000-rpm rating is the engine speed at which Bugatti quotes peak power, not a claim that the car must operate at that speed to access the hybrid system’s full output.

How the hybrid system adds power
Two electric motors sit on the front e-axle and a third is mounted at the rear. Bugatti describes an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and torque vectoring. Rimac Technology says it designed an 800-volt hybrid system in collaboration with Bugatti Rimac. Rimac Technology on the hybrid system

What performance does Bugatti claim?
Bugatti quotes 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.0 seconds and a top speed of 445 km/h (276 mph). Those are manufacturer-claimed figures; the official technical sources cited here do not provide independent road-test verification or a like-for-like comparison with another hypercar.
