The Bugatti Tourbillon can be configured with an eight-pipe exhaust through the Équipe Pur Sang option, announced by Bugatti in March 2025. It is not standard equipment on every Tourbillon. The option pairs the distinctive exhaust with a specialized rear diffuser and other exterior, wheel and cabin changes; Bugatti describes the car itself as an 1,800-hp hybrid powered by a naturally aspirated V16 and three electric motors.
What is the Bugatti Tourbillon?
The Tourbillon is Bugatti’s hybrid hypercar, announced with an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 and three electric motors. Bugatti lists combined output at 1,800 hp: 1,000 hp from the engine and 800 hp from the motors. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified measurements.
Bugatti’s published figures give a 0–100 km/h (62 mph) time of 2.0 seconds and a top speed of 445 km/h (276 mph). They are Bugatti claims; the cited material does not provide independent test results. Bugatti’s official technical article describes the performance figures.
Does every Tourbillon have an eight-pipe exhaust?
No. Bugatti announced the eight-pipe exhaust as part of Équipe Pur Sang, a customer configuration option introduced in March 2025 as Tourbillon customer configurations began. The exhaust is one element of that package, not a feature established for every Tourbillon.

Bugatti says the purpose-built exhaust works with a specialized rear diffuser to improve aerodynamic efficiency and downforce. The company does not quantify a separate aerodynamic gain attributable to the exhaust itself, and the cited sources contain no third-party measurement of the claimed effect. Bugatti’s Équipe Pur Sang announcement sets out the option’s contents and its intended positioning.

Bugatti says the wheel design increases airflow to the rear radiator by up to 8%. That is the manufacturer’s stated maximum, not an independently measured result in the cited materials. Bugatti’s announcement provides the wheel dimensions and airflow claim.

Équipe Pur Sang is a factory configuration for customers who want the Tourbillon’s appearance to lean further toward track-inspired styling. The option combines visible aero pieces and distinctive wheels with exhaust hardware, while also extending into the cabin through embroidery, trim and seats. Bugatti Managing Director Hendrik Malinowski framed it as a way to celebrate the brand’s racing heritage; that is the company’s stated positioning, not an independent assessment of performance.
