T3 reported in August 2025 that Bugatti had introduced Solitaire, a bespoke commission program, and that its first creation, the Brouillard, reworks the Mistral into a fixed-roof car with a distinctive body and cabin. The report did not establish current ordering terms, eligibility or price.
What is Bugatti Solitaire?
Solitaire is described by T3 as a program for creating unique, one-off Bugattis, rather than a regular model with a larger menu of options. Its first reported commission is the Brouillard. That makes the distinction straightforward: personalization changes the specification of an existing car, while a Solitaire commission is presented as a unique creation.
There is an important qualification: the available account is Alistair Charlton’s T3 report, published 11 August 2025, not verified current commissioning terms from Bugatti. It does not say who can apply, how customers are selected, what the process involves, or whether the program’s original plans remain in force. Read the T3 report.
How is the Brouillard different from the Mistral?
T3 reports that the Brouillard is based on the Mistral but shares no body panels with it. Unlike the open-top Mistral, it has a fixed roof. The description therefore points to a substantial exterior redesign on a related underlying car—not merely a special paint-and-trim edition.

The cabin is also reported to have been individualized with woven tartan-pattern fabrics, green-tinted carbon fibre and additional machined aluminium. T3 quoted Bugatti describing the roof and cabin architecture: “The glass roof creates an airy, cathedral-like experience, while the centre spine flows seamlessly from exterior to interior, visible through the transparent panel above.”
What is reported about the engine?
T3 reports a mid-mounted, quad-turbo W16 producing 1,600 PS and calls the Brouillard the final Bugatti powered by that engine. These are claims in the 2025 report; the material available here does not independently verify the specification. The figure is metric horsepower (PS), not a separate confirmation of output in another unit.

How many Solitaire cars will be made, and what does one cost?
T3 reported Bugatti’s plan to build two unique Solitaire cars per year. That is a plan reported in August 2025, not confirmation of the program’s current annual output.
The report said Bugatti had not disclosed the Brouillard’s exact price at publication. It mentioned the Mistral at about £5 million and La Voiture Noire at about £12 million as context, but those figures are not the Brouillard’s price. Any suggestion that the one-off would set a pricing record was speculation, not an announced amount.

Does this mean you can order a Bugatti made just for you?
The Brouillard illustrates what a one-off can mean: a unique body treatment and a specially detailed cabin built around a related Bugatti model. But the report does not establish that Solitaire is open to all buyers, how commissioning works, or whether a customer can currently secure a place. It supports the existence of the program as reported in 2025, not a promise that a reader can place an order today.
That distinction matters if “bespoke” means different things to different buyers. Choosing finishes personalizes a car; a one-off commission may alter the car’s design itself. The Brouillard is evidence of the latter kind of ambition, but not evidence of public availability or a disclosed price.
