Hommage is a one-off Veyron tribute that pairs the original car’s proportions with a later, 1,600-hp evolution of Bugatti’s quad-turbo W16. It is not a newly announced production model, and Bugatti has not said that it uses a specific Chiron chassis or donor car. The company announced it on 22 January 2026 and unveiled it publicly at Rétromobile in Paris on 30 January.
What is the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage?
The F.K.P. Hommage is the second creation from Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire, a bespoke coachbuilding initiative that the company says will produce up to two unique masterpieces a year. Its initials honor Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, whose vision led to the Veyron. Bugatti describes the car as a modern reimagining of that model, rather than a series-production successor.
The announcement was published on 22 January 2026. Bugatti presented the car beside an original Veyron 16.4 at the Ultimate Supercar Garage during Rétromobile 2026 in Paris, with the physical unveiling taking place on 30 January. Bugatti’s announcement and its premiere report are the sources for the specifications and launch details below.
How does it combine Veyron and Chiron-era engineering?
The blend is best understood as Veyron-inspired design wrapped around later W16 development. Bugatti says the Hommage uses the highest evolution of its W16 platform: a quad-turbocharged engine producing 1,600 hp, with larger turbochargers, enhanced intercoolers, upgraded cooling systems and a reinforced gearbox. The company identifies this 1,600-hp engine as the one first introduced in the Chiron Super Sport.

That makes “Veyron and Chiron blend” a useful shorthand, but not proof that the Hommage is based on a particular Chiron chassis or donor car. Bugatti’s releases do not identify a specific chassis, and the power figure is a manufacturer specification, not an independently measured test result.

What Veyron details remain in the design?
Bugatti points to the Hommage’s leaning-back posture and dropping belt line as direct references to the Veyron. The body updates that silhouette with larger front air intakes to supply the more powerful engine and retains the signature ducts behind the occupants’ heads. Its horseshoe grille is machined from a solid block of aluminum and shaped to flow into the surrounding bodywork.

The announced wheels measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear; Bugatti describes their tires as using its latest Michelin tire technology. The red exterior finish layers a silver aluminum-based coat beneath a red-tinted clear coat. Bugatti says the exposed carbon fiber is black-tinted, rather than simply painted black. These are details from the manufacturer’s 22 January announcement, not independent material or performance assessments.
What is distinctive about the interior?
Bugatti describes the cabin as a near-complete departure from recent W16 models such as the Chiron and Mistral, while bringing back a circular, Bauhaus-style steering wheel associated with the original Veyron. The center console and tunnel cover are machined from solid aluminum blocks. The company calls the upholstery custom Paris-woven fabric; in its premiere account, it names the fabric “Ettore Grand” in “Havana.”

The dashboard’s engine-turned island incorporates a 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon, installed at the future owner’s request. Bugatti says the watch’s gondola turns diagonally several times per hour, driven by the car without an electrical connection. This is a bespoke feature of this car, not evidence of a standard option or a configuration available to other buyers.
What does the Hommage honor?
The F.K.P. name refers to Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, and Bugatti presents the car as a tribute to his vision for the Veyron. In its announcement, the company gives the original Veyron’s output as 1,001 hp and its top speed as exceeding 400 km/h, figures it uses to describe the car’s historical ambition. Those are Bugatti’s historical figures for the Veyron, not performance claims for the Hommage.

Design Director Frank Heyl said the project developed earlier sketches for Veyron styling evolutions into a finished car, describing the result as a celebration of Piëch’s vision. Managing Director Hendrik Malinowski likewise framed it as combining the original Veyron’s proportions with two decades of engineering evolution. Both are Bugatti’s characterizations of the project.

Bugatti calls the F.K.P. Hommage the second Programme Solitaire creation, following Brouillard. The program’s stated limit is up to two unique masterpieces annually; that is a program limit, not a promise that two Hommages will be built each year. The reviewed Bugatti releases do not state a public price, disclose a confirmed purchaser’s identity or offer the Hommage for sale.

Collectors interested in a Veyron rather than this one-off can look to the Veyron examples Bugatti says its official partners displayed at Rétromobile: a 16.4, Grand Sport, Super Sport and Vitesse. The company’s premiere report describes La Maison Pur Sang certification, restoration and reconfiguration options, but it does not establish that those services make a car equivalent to the Hommage.
