What is the Bugatti Divo?
Bugatti unveiled the Divo at The Quail in Monterey on 24 August 2018, presenting it as a modern expression of the marque’s coachbuilding tradition. It shares its underlying relationship with the Chiron, but Bugatti shaped the Divo around agility and cornering rather than the standard Chiron’s broader high-speed emphasis. At the launch, Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann described the distinction this way: “The Divo has significantly higher performance in terms of lateral acceleration, agility and cornering. The Divo is made for corners.” This is the manufacturer’s description of the car, not an independent road-test verdict. The WLTP consumption, emissions and efficiency-class figures are listed on Bugatti’s Divo specifications page. They describe a standardized test cycle and should not be read as a prediction of fuel use in ordinary driving.

How is the Divo different from the Chiron?
The Divo retains the Chiron’s 1,500 PS W16 power figure but was reworked around handling. In its 2018 announcement, Bugatti said the Divo was 35 kg (77 lb) lighter and generated 90 kg (198 lb) more downforce than the standard Chiron. Bugatti also claimed an eight-second advantage over the Chiron on the Nardò handling circuit. These are manufacturer comparisons; independent instrumented confirmation is not established in the cited material.

How much did the Bugatti Divo cost?
Bugatti announced a net unit price of €5 million in August 2018 and said the 40-car series had sold out when customer presentations began. Its 2021 final-delivery announcement described a five-million-euro base price at the time. Car and Driver lists $5,800,000 in its historical model coverage. These are launch-era price references in different currencies and contexts, not comparable current asking prices or a present valuation.
