The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is the Chiron tuned for extreme straight-line speed without abandoning long-distance comfort. Bugatti quotes 1,600 PS, 1,600 Nm and an electronically limited 440 km/h (273 mph) maximum speed. Its 2021 launch price was announced as €3.2 million net; that historical figure is not a current asking price or resale valuation.
What is the Chiron Super Sport?
Bugatti introduced the Chiron Super Sport in June 2021 as a high-speed grand-touring interpretation of the Chiron. Its brief combines maximum-speed capability with comfort and luxury, rather than prioritizing cornering agility. The distinction is clearest alongside the Chiron Pur Sport: Bugatti positioned the Pur Sport for cornering and lateral agility, and the Super Sport for longitudinal performance.
Bugatti’s President Stephan Winkelmann described the approach as “combining top speed with absolute luxury.” That is the manufacturer’s intended character, not an independent road-test verdict.
How fast is the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport?
Bugatti reported a maximum speed of 440 km/h (273 mph), electronically limited. The company’s published acceleration figures are also manufacturer claims; no independent instrumented road test is represented here.

The two 0–200 km/h figures are not interchangeable measurements to average: Bugatti published different numbers in different releases. The sources do not explain the discrepancy, so both are best reported with their dates and attribution.
What makes the Super Sport different from the Chiron Pur Sport?
The key difference is the intended use, not simply a higher or lower place in a model hierarchy. Bugatti’s own positioning contrasts the Super Sport’s straight-line speed emphasis with the Pur Sport’s focus on cornering and lateral agility.

The comparison is about each model’s stated purpose. The available Bugatti positioning does not establish a like-for-like current used-market price comparison.
How does the longtail body and chassis support high-speed driving?
The most visible change is the extended rear body, approximately 25 cm longer than the reference Chiron. Bugatti says the length helps sustain airflow along the body and reduce drag. The rear also has a larger diffuser, while the exhausts sit vertically at the sides. Together, these changes reflect an aerodynamic package designed around stability and efficiency at extreme speed, rather than a styling-only alteration.

Bugatti also specified a high-speed-focused chassis tune and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires developed for the car’s high-speed requirements. The company said it reduced weight by a further 23 kg compared with the reference Chiron. These are manufacturer descriptions of the engineering program; they do not substitute for independent measurements of handling, ride or real-world efficiency.
In the June 2021 launch release, Bugatti design director Frank Heyl said the aim was a neutral setup at top speed and a streamlined shape. Chassis development head Jachin Schwalbe later described road tests up to 380 km/h and further handling refinement at up to 440 km/h. Those statements describe development work and intended behavior, not an independent safety assessment.

How much does a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport cost?
Bugatti announced a net price of €3.2 million in October 2021 and said deliveries were scheduled for early 2022. This is a historical launch figure, not an established present-day MSRP, transaction price or used-market value. The announcement does not specify market-by-market taxes, options or a current asking-price range, and no current resale valuation is established here.
