But the headline numbers need qualification: Bugatti specifies its quad-turbo W16 at 1,600 PS, while 1,578 hp is a conversion, and the often-repeated claim that the car costs more than $15 million is an unconfirmed estimate—not a price Bugatti has announced.
What is the Bugatti Brouillard?
The Brouillard is a bespoke, single-production coupé created through Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire. Bugatti introduced it in August 2025 as the programme’s inaugural car and described it as one of one. That means there is only one Brouillard—not that the programme is limited to a single commission.
Bugatti presents the car as a modern expression of its coachbuilding heritage: an individual vehicle shaped around a client’s brief, rather than a regular production model with a standard configuration.
Is the Brouillard really a $15 million car?
Bugatti’s launch and debut announcements do not disclose a sale price. Road & Track’s August 2025 coverage characterized a figure above $15 million as a guess, not a confirmed transaction price. The careful answer is that the Brouillard may have been estimated at more than $15 million by the press, but its publicly confirmed price is not stated in those sources.

How much power does it make?
Bugatti gives the Brouillard’s quad-turbocharged W16 output as 1,600 PS. The 1,578-hp figure used in some English-language coverage is the approximate conversion of that metric horsepower rating; it is not a separate published dyno result. Bugatti’s cited materials do not provide a measured acceleration time or top speed for the car.
Why is it called Brouillard?
The name honors Ettore Bugatti’s beloved horse, Brouillard. Bugatti ties the equestrian tribute to both the car’s identity and its custom detailing, extending the horse theme into the cabin rather than using it only as a name.

What makes the design a one-off?
The Brouillard has an all-new coupé profile, with sculpted intakes, a sweeping roofline and a bespoke ducktail rear wing. Bugatti also lists a glass roof, green-tinted carbon weave and aluminum detailing among its distinctive finishes.
Inside, the bespoke touches include a hand-crafted horse sculpture in the gear selector, embroidered horse motifs and custom tartan fabrics sourced from Paris. These details make the car’s coachbuilt character tangible: the commission is expressed in specific materials and forms, not just a unique paint choice.

How many cars will Programme Solitaire make?
Bugatti announced Programme Solitaire in August 2025 as a bespoke initiative for one-of-one creations. In its January 2026 year-in-review, the company said the programme is limited to two unique masterpieces per year. That is the programme’s annual capacity, not a statement that two Brouillards exist.

Bugatti’s newsroom lists a September 15, 2026 item about the Brouillard appearing at Chantilly Arts & Elegance 2026. That listing supports saying the car was scheduled for a public appearance; it does not establish when it was delivered or identify its current owner. Bugatti Managing Director Hendrik Malinowski described the programme as a way to honor what makes Bugatti unique while creating a vehicle “the likes of which no-one has witnessed before.”
