Buell has shown custom baggers built from its Super Cruiser, but it has not announced a production bagger with finalized specifications, a price, or a delivery date in the official material cited here. The distinction matters: the Super Cruiser’s listed 175 hp belongs to that motorcycle, not to a separately specified production bagger.
What Buell has actually built
Buell’s account of its 2025 projects describes two custom baggers based on the Super Cruiser platform. One silver build used a forged-aluminum front wheel; the black “all-in” version featured FOX Factory suspension and carbon-fiber front and rear wheels. Buell says the silver motorcycle accumulated more than 4,000 miles with its team on a trip to Moab, and that both builds later appeared at the 2025 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The company framed the work as taking the Super Cruiser platform in a new direction. Jacob Stark, discussing the builds, said: “The goal wasn’t to make these builds heavier, the goal was remaining aligned to the core product – and these builds were about the next step and you take it beyond the Super Cruiser without making it a ‘Dupe-r Cruiser.’” Buell’s article does not specify Stark’s formal role.
Is a Buell bagger going into production?
The builds document experimentation with a platform; they do not establish a retail production bagger. The cited Buell materials do not give a production bagger a confirmed model name, final specification sheet, price, or delivery schedule. “Ready to build” should therefore be read as a forward-looking proposition, not confirmation that customers can order this bagger.

Buell does list the Super Cruiser as a production motorcycle, with production underway on its current product page. That is a different claim about a different model: the page does not turn the custom bagger builds into an announced production version. Buell Super Cruiser product page
What the published power figures do—and don’t—show
Buell’s current Super Cruiser page lists 175 hp, 94 ft-lb of torque at 8,500 rpm, and a wet weight of 485 lb without fuel. It describes a 1,190 cc liquid-cooled 72-degree V-twin. These are manufacturer-listed Super Cruiser specifications, not confirmed specifications for either custom bagger or a future production bagger. Buell Super Cruiser specifications

Buell’s separate SuperTouring announcement, dated May 16, 2025, lists 185 hp, 102 ft-lb, and 439 lb wet without bags. The SuperTouring is a distinct model, not the Super Cruiser bagger. For another production-bagger reference, Harley-Davidson lists 127 hp and 145 lb-ft for the 2026 CVO Road Glide ST’s Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output engine. Harley calls it its most extreme performance bagger yet. This is a comparison of manufacturer-published figures, not a controlled test: the models, equipment, and stated weight bases differ, and the horsepower numbers alone cannot establish which motorcycle is faster or more powerful in real-world use. What touring equipment is confirmed
The custom-build account confirms that Buell’s 2025 Super Cruiser projects included bags, but it does not publish a production luggage capacity or a retail accessory specification for a Super Cruiser bagger. The 36-liter option belongs to the distinct SuperTouring announced in 2025.
