What was the BRABUS ML 63 BiTurbo?
BRABUS officially presented the ML 63 BiTurbo at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. It was based on the W 164-series Mercedes-AMG ML 63 and converted by BRABUS; the name does not refer to a separate factory Mercedes-Benz model. BRABUS’s account of the vehicle is in its 2000s brand history.
The conversion’s central distinction is its engine: BRABUS described a 6.3-liter V8 with two turbochargers. That is different from the 5.5-liter biturbo V8 Mercedes-Benz later specified for its factory ML 63 AMG.

How it differs from the later factory ML 63 AMG
Mercedes-Benz’s December 2011 announcement covered a newer factory ML 63 AMG, not the BRABUS W 164 conversion. The distinction matters because the later model’s engine and ratings are often mistakenly attached to the BRABUS vehicle.
