Brabus G Wagon Pricing And What You Get For The Money

A new BRABUS G-Wagon can cost more than $575,000 before U.S. tax. Here is what the BRABUS 800 and 900 Rocket Edition add over the Mercedes-AMG G 63.

A new, fully specified BRABUS G-Wagon costs far more than the Mercedes-AMG G 63 underneath it. For a documented U.S.-priced BRABUS 800, the total reaches $576,170 before sales tax, registration, and delivery. That is about $380,670 more than the 2026 AMG G 63’s $195,500 MSRP.

The German-listed prices are similarly extreme: a complete BRABUS 800 is listed at €602,494.62 gross, while the limited-production BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition costs €709,560.82 gross. These are not ordinary trim-level premiums. They cover major engine work, carbon-fiber bodywork, custom interiors, forged wheels, and—in the Rocket Edition’s case—limited production.

How much does a BRABUS G-Wagon cost?

There is no single BRABUS G-Wagon price because “BRABUS G-Wagon” can describe anything from a complete factory-built conversion to a standard G 63 wearing BRABUS-style parts. The prices below apply to current, complete BRABUS vehicles based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 W465.

Vehicle Published price What the price means
Mercedes-AMG G 63, 2026 $195,500 MSRP U.S. base vehicle price before destination, options, taxes, registration, and dealer charges
Mercedes-AMG G 63, 2027 $198,750 MSRP Current Mercedes-Benz USA listed MSRP for the base performance SUV

BRABUS 800, U.S. specification $576,170 Specific Deep Green build including $45,930 in U.S. customs duties and fees
BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition €596,269.60 net
€709,560.82 gross
Ex-works price for a “1 of 30” limited-production vehicle

The $576,170 U.S. figure is not a universal BRABUS MSRP. It is the total shown on a BRABUS specification sheet for one particular W465 BRABUS 800. The breakdown is useful because it shows where the money goes:

BRABUS conversion $306,200
U.S. customs duties and fees $45,930
Total before sales tax, registration, and delivery $576,170

Compared with the 2026 G 63’s $195,500 MSRP, that particular BRABUS 800 costs approximately 2.95 times as much. The comparison is not perfectly like-for-like because the BRABUS document includes a specific vehicle configuration and import-related costs, but it demonstrates the scale of the premium.

What you get with the BRABUS 800

The BRABUS 800 is not simply a G 63 with a badge package. Its conversion changes the engine calibration and hardware, exterior panels, wheels, exhaust, and interior.

800 horsepower and a modified V8

The PowerXtra B40S-800 engine conversion raises output to 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, equivalent to approximately 737 lb-ft. The underlying AMG G 63 uses a handcrafted 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with hybrid assist and produces 577 hp and 627 lb-ft in standard form.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

BRABUS also fits a BoostXtra blow-off-valve adapter and a valve-controlled exhaust system with carbon trim. The exhaust includes Rocket Launch Ambience lighting, adding visual theater to an already highly conspicuous SUV.

Specification Mercedes-AMG G 63 BRABUS 800
Engine output 577 hp 800 hp
Torque 627 lb-ft 1,000 Nm, approximately 737 lb-ft
0–60 mph / 0–100 km/h 4.2 seconds to 60 mph 4.0 seconds to 100 km/h
Top speed Not represented by the BRABUS specification Electronically limited to 240 km/h, or 149 mph

Do not treat the acceleration numbers as guaranteed independent test results. BRABUS notes that performance can vary with equipment, curb weight, wheels, tires, transmission configuration, and aerodynamic components. The 24-inch wheels and widebody parts contribute to the car’s appearance but can also affect weight, tire behavior, and real-world acceleration.

WIDESTAR carbon bodywork

The BRABUS WIDESTAR conversion gives the G-Class a much wider and more elaborate appearance. The listed BRABUS 800 includes:

  • Carbon front fascia attachment
  • Carbon front and rear fender flares
  • Carbon running-board corners
  • Carbon rear fascia attachment
  • Carbon Powerdome hood
  • Carbon grille attachment and illuminated BRABUS grille logo
  • Roof attachment with LED headlights
  • Carbon mirror caps, side strips, spare-wheel cover, and license-plate holder
  • Exterior BRABUS emblems and carbon badges
  • Special exterior paint and blacked-out trim on the listed example

This is one of the most visible reasons the conversion costs six figures. The bodywork is not limited to stick-on emblems: it includes replacement or added carbon components designed to create a distinct widebody silhouette.

24-inch forged wheels and upgraded braking hardware

The BRABUS 800 uses forged 24-inch Monoblock M wheels, sized 10J at the front and 12J at the rear. The listed tire sizes are unusually aggressive for an off-road-oriented SUV:

  • Front: 295/30 ZR24
  • Rear: 355/25 ZR24

BRABUS also specifies its own brake design. The large wheels and very low-profile tires are central to the car’s visual identity, but they are not a free upgrade in daily use. Replacement tires are expensive, sidewalls provide limited protection from potholes, and the setup is less forgiving than the standard G 63’s wheel-and-tire configuration.

A completely reworked cabin

The interior is another major part of the price. The BRABUS 800 listing includes a fully reupholstered Masterpiece leather cabin with Shell Design quilting and Double-B embossing. Leather covers the dashboard, door panels, center console, steering wheel, pillars, floor, and trunk.

Carbon-fiber trim is used for the steering-wheel clasp, shift paddles, handles, pedals, and entrance panels. The car also receives illuminated BRABUS door sills, a Masterpiece key cover, an indoor car cover, and a BRABUS Weekender bag.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

That level of reupholstery distinguishes a complete BRABUS build from a G 63 fitted with exterior accessories. It also explains why two vehicles described by sellers as “BRABUS G63s” can have radically different values.

What does the BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition add?

The BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition “1 of 30” is the more exclusive and mechanically serious option. Its listed gross German price is €709,560.82—about €107,066 more than the BRABUS 800’s €602,494.62 gross price, or approximately 17.8% higher.

For that increase, the Rocket Edition receives a 4.5-liter BRABUS Rocket 900 V8 conversion. The engine work includes forged pistons, a custom crankshaft, special connecting rods, high-pressure fuel pumps, larger BRABUS turbochargers, revised software, and freer-flowing exhaust hardware.

The 1,250 Nm figure needs context. BRABUS electronically limits torque to 1,050 Nm during normal operation to provide additional drivetrain protection. The headline number therefore should not be interpreted as the torque the vehicle delivers unrestricted in every driving situation.

Why the prices vary so much

Several costs sit behind the headline number:

  1. The AMG donor vehicle: A BRABUS conversion starts with an expensive G 63, not the less powerful G 550. The U.S. specification sheet lists the base vehicle at $224,040.
  2. Engine engineering: The 800-hp conversion requires more than a software badge. The 900 Rocket Edition goes further with internal engine changes and larger turbochargers.
  3. Carbon-fiber parts: Widebody panels, hood, grille, roof attachment, mirror caps, and other pieces add material, design, and installation costs.
  4. Hand-finished interior work: A fully reupholstered Masterpiece cabin is much more expensive than factory leather with a logo stitched into the headrest.
  5. Wheels, tires, and brakes: Forged 24-inch wheels, extreme tire sizes, and BRABUS brake hardware add both component and fitting costs.
  6. Import and transaction costs: The cited U.S. build includes $45,930 in customs duties and fees, before sales tax, registration, and delivery.
  7. Exclusivity: The Rocket Edition is limited to 30 examples worldwide, which makes its premium partly a scarcity charge rather than a performance-only upgrade.

What “BRABUS G63” means on the used market

Before paying a BRABUS premium, establish exactly what has been converted. A seller may use the name for:

  • A complete BRABUS-built vehicle with an engine conversion, bodywork, wheels, exhaust, and Masterpiece interior
  • A Mercedes-AMG G 63 fitted with selected genuine BRABUS parts
  • A standard G-Class wearing aftermarket or replica BRABUS-style bodywork, wheels, badges, or exhaust components

These are not equivalent vehicles. A used G 63 with a BRABUS body kit does not automatically have the 800-hp engine conversion. Ask for the BRABUS invoice, conversion specification, engine documentation, build sheet, and VIN history. Confirm whether the claimed power kit, exhaust, interior, and wheels are genuine and whether the work was performed by BRABUS or an authorized channel.

Used values are also difficult to compare with new-car pricing. Classic.com reports a $330,971 average for its W463 post-facelift Mercedes-Benz Brabus category, with recorded sales ranging from $155,000 for a 2020 G 63 with a BRABUS body kit to $980,000 for a limited 2023 BRABUS G800 SOMO 1 of 10. Those are older W463-generation vehicles and mixed specifications; they are not a direct valuation guide for a new W465 BRABUS 800 or BRABUS 900.

Costs that are not included

The German BRABUS vehicle listings quote prices ex works Bottrop. In practical terms, the buyer must account for transport, applicable taxes, registration, delivery, and any import or compliance costs beyond the published price.

The U.S. BRABUS 800 sheet explicitly excludes sales tax, registration, and delivery. Depending on the state and transaction, sales tax alone can add tens of thousands of dollars to a $576,170 vehicle. Insurance, replacement tires for the 24-inch setup, carbon-panel repairs, and specialist maintenance are also worth budgeting for.

FAQ

How much is a new BRABUS 800 G-Wagon?

A current German listing shows a BRABUS 800 at €506,298 net or €602,494.62 gross, ex works Bottrop. A specific U.S. BRABUS 800 configuration is totaled at $576,170 before sales tax, registration, and delivery.

How much is the BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition?

The BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition “1 of 30” is listed at €596,269.60 net or €709,560.82 gross, ex works Bottrop. Import, transport, registration, and other local costs can raise the final amount.

Is every BRABUS G63 an 800-horsepower vehicle?

No. “BRABUS G63” may refer to a complete BRABUS conversion, a G 63 fitted with selected genuine BRABUS parts, or even a vehicle with replica styling parts. Check the engine-conversion paperwork, invoice, build sheet, and VIN history.

Is a BRABUS G-Wagon worth the extra money?

That depends on your priorities. The BRABUS 800 and 900 provide substantially more power, bespoke interiors, carbon bodywork, and exclusivity, but they do not provide proportional gains in everyday utility over a Mercedes-AMG G 63. The premium primarily buys customization, engineering, presentation, and rarity.

The Bottom Line

The realistic current entry point for a new, fully specified BRABUS G-Wagon is roughly $575,000 before U.S. sales tax and registration for the documented BRABUS 800 configuration. The BRABUS 800 brings 800 hp, a carbon WIDESTAR body, forged 24-inch wheels, a valve-controlled exhaust, and a fully bespoke leather interior. The €709,560.82-gross BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition adds a 4.5-liter engine, 900 hp, more extensive carbonwork, and production limited to 30 examples.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Neither is a rational purchase if the goal is simply to transport people quickly and comfortably; the AMG G 63 already does that extremely well. The BRABUS premium is for buyers who want a far rarer, louder, more heavily customized G-Class—and who are prepared for the associated import, tire, insurance, and repair costs.
