Booster—formerly known as Booster Fuels—currently presents itself primarily as a mobile fuel and energy-delivery service for businesses and fleets. Its current pages describe fueling business vehicles at their operating locations, with customized quotes and fleet-management support. The familiar idea of having your own car filled while you work comes from a 2017 announcement; current sources reviewed do not establish whether individual consumers can still request that service.
What Booster does today
Booster says it delivers gasoline, diesel, renewable diesel, and other energy solutions to business vehicles where they operate. Its current commercial service page and FAQ focus on business and fleet customers rather than an individual-car service.
For a fleet, the practical appeal is having vehicles fueled at a yard or other operating location instead of sending drivers to a retail station. Booster describes its service as supported by routing and dispatch, trained service professionals, safety procedures, and tools for viewing fuel data and managing schedules and payments.
Does Booster still fill individual cars while their owners work?
That was part of the earlier Booster Fuels concept, but the available evidence is historical. In an April 2017 company announcement, Booster described customers using an app to mark a parked car’s location, open its fuel door, leave the car locked, and receive a receipt after it was fueled. The announcement also reported more than 3 million gallons delivered and expansion to hundreds of companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and Dallas–Fort Worth at that time; those are company-reported figures from 2017, not measures of current scale. Booster’s current public materials reviewed here do not confirm whether individual consumers can request fueling at work, nor do they establish current service cities. Someone seeking personal car refueling should ask Booster directly about availability in their location rather than assume the 2017 app-based option still operates.
How mobile fleet fueling works
- Request a quote. Booster says it assesses a fleet’s existing fuel management and prepares a customized quote based on location, fuel type, and how often onsite fueling is needed.
- Arrange onsite service. The customer and Booster determine scheduling for the fleet’s operating location. Booster describes routing and dispatch support for service visits.
- Vehicles are fueled at the site. Booster says trained service professionals visit fleet locations and fuel vehicles there. Its service overview discusses the role of service professionals, routing, dispatch, training, and safety staff.
- Review fuel activity and payments. Booster says customers can use a personalized dashboard to view fuel data and manage scheduling and payments.
How much does Booster cost?
Booster does not publish a universal per-gallon price or standard service fee in the reviewed FAQ. It says quotes are customized according to location, fuel type, and service frequency, after a consultant assesses the fleet’s current fuel management. A business should request a quote for its specific vehicles, site, and schedule.

Does Booster work with fleet fuel cards?
Booster’s FAQ says it integrates with WEX, Voyager, and Comdata fuel cards. A fleet evaluating the service can confirm which card products and payment workflows are supported for its account, and how the integration fits with its existing reporting systems.

Booster’s own safety page says it adheres to Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, fire, and air-quality requirements. The company describes measures including trained staff, proactive hazard checks, spill-prevention procedures, tanker safety features, and insurance. Its FAQ also says Booster has held California Air Resources Board certification since an executive order was signed in 2021. These statements are the provider’s descriptions, not independent confirmation of authorization for every jurisdiction.

Before adopting any onsite fueling provider, a fleet should verify local permits and operating authority for its locations, as well as the provider’s applicable insurance and documented spill-response and safety procedures. Requirements can vary by jurisdiction and operation; Booster’s own guidance is not a substitute for checking with the relevant authorities.

What a fleet should check before choosing onsite fueling
- Local authorization: Confirm the provider can operate at each site and meet the applicable local requirements.
- Fuel coverage: Check availability of the fuel types and vehicle mix the fleet needs.
- Schedule and volume: Ask how service frequency, location, and fleet size affect the quote and operating plan.
- Payment and reporting: Confirm compatibility with the fleet’s fuel cards and the data available for reconciliation and oversight.
- Safety documentation: Review training, hazard checks, spill prevention, equipment, and insurance details that apply to the proposed service.
