What BMW subscription options are available?
BMW’s ConnectedDrive subscriptions are digital services attached to an eligible vehicle. They are not interchangeable: Digital Premium is an expanded experience for qualifying vehicles, while a Connected Services renewal bundles services according to a vehicle’s equipment. ConnectedDrive Upgrades renew separately from the Connected Services package.

What does BMW Digital Premium include?
BMW describes Digital Premium as an expanded ConnectedDrive experience, notably for vehicles equipped with BMW Operating System 9. Depending on the vehicle, software, and location, it can add richer map visuals and real-time traffic information, access to in-vehicle apps and content, expanded My Modes, and selected assistant or personalization functions. How much does BMW Digital Premium cost?
BMW does not establish one current price for every U.S. vehicle in the reviewed pricing guidance. Its cost FAQ directs owners to the ConnectedDrive Store for the price tied to their vehicle. Not every ConnectedDrive function ends when a paid service expires. BMW says Remote Services and TeleServices remain available on most model-year 2017-and-newer vehicles when technically capable and when the car is mapped to a BMW ID. BMW Assist eCall, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Digital Key are also subject to technical capability. How to check your BMW’s price and available services
- Set up your BMW ID and map the car. Some ongoing services depend on the vehicle being linked to a BMW ID.
- Open a BMW purchase channel. Use My BMW Garage, the My BMW app, or the in-car ConnectedDrive Store to view offers for the vehicle.
- Select the vehicle and inspect its offer. Confirm the available services, eligibility, price, and term; availability depends on equipment, software, technical restrictions, and location.
- For a Connected Services renewal, check before expiration. BMW says renewal offers become available within 30 days of expiration, and package contents depend on vehicle equipment.
- Review renewal terms before paying. Confirm whether the plan is monthly or annual and whether it auto-renews. BMW’s terms say subscription service plans may renew automatically unless stated otherwise.
Does every BMW need a ConnectedDrive subscription?
No. Some functions require an active paid subscription, while BMW says certain services remain available on most model-year 2017-and-newer vehicles if the car is technically capable and mapped to a BMW ID. Eligibility and continued access vary by service and vehicle. The account-linked ConnectedDrive Store is the practical way to see what is included, what has expired, and what BMW offers for that specific car.
