Bookings are reported open in India for BMW M3 Competition and M5 Touring “100 Jahre Nürburgring” editions, part of a local five-car BMW M lineup marking the circuit’s 2027 centenary. BMW has not disclosed India prices, allocations or delivery timing in the available reports.
What the Nürburgring editions mark
The Nürburgring officially opened on June 18, 1927, making 2027 its centenary. BMW says the global “100 Jahre Nürburgring” program celebrates the circuit’s longstanding role in developing BMW M vehicles. The Nordschleife, in BMW’s description, is 20.8 kilometres long and has 73 corners. BMW Group’s announcement describes a global range of six BMW M cars and three BMW Motorrad models.
Which editions are reported for India?
Autocar India reported on October 1, 2026, that bookings were open for the M3 Competition and M5 Touring editions, alongside anniversary editions of the M5 sedan, M2 xDrive and M4 Competition. India Today also reported a local lineup of five BMW M cars and the BMW Motorrad M 1000 R. The reports do not establish the number of units allocated to India. Autocar India’s report and India Today’s report cover the local selection.
That five-car India lineup should not be confused with BMW’s complete international program. The global announcement names the M2, M3 Sedan, M3 Touring, M4 Coupé, M5 Sedan and M5 Touring, plus the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R and M 1000 XR.

These are figures reported by Autocar India for the India introduction, not independently confirmed India-market homologation data in the available sources.
What changes on the anniversary editions?
The edition treatment is chiefly commemorative styling and equipment. BMW’s global announcement and BMW M’s model page list Nürburgring Green paint, a “100 Years” logo, “Nürburgring since 1927” lettering and circuit-silhouette graphics. Sapphire Black metallic is also listed as an alternative paint, with green accents. The interiors use a black base with green and white stitching.

For the Touring versions, BMW lists a steel roof with edition stripes and Nürburgring circuit embroidery on the headrests. Their wheels receive green accents: the M3 Touring uses Styling 826 M wheels and the M5 Touring uses Styling 951 M wheels. These are details from BMW’s global edition information; the available sources do not separately confirm every specification for India-market cars.
Global Touring figures are not India certification data
BMW’s global model page lists the M3 Touring at combined fuel consumption of 10.7 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions of 242 g/km. For the M5 Touring, it lists weighted combined consumption of 5.5 l/100 km, 11.0 l/100 km with the battery depleted, weighted CO₂ emissions of 124 g/km, energy consumption of 18.1 kWh/100 km and electric range of 60 km. These are global-page figures and should not be read as India-market certified values; they also differ in scope from Autocar India’s report of up to 67km WLTP range for the India introduction.

What buyers still need to confirm
Bookings being reported open does not establish a final on-road price, a specific car’s availability or a delivery date. BMW India prices, per-model allocation and delivery windows were not provided in the cited reports. Prospective buyers should confirm those details, along with the exact edition equipment and specifications, with BMW India or an authorised dealer before placing an order.
